The legacy of the famous person Le Quy Don is not only a regional research document but also has international value.

The decision was adopted at the 221st session of the UNESCO Executive Board that just ended in France. The dossier submitted to UNESCO clearly stated: The famous person Le Quy Don is a special phenomenon in the history of Vietnamese culture in the 18th century, with achievements and contributions in ideology, politics, culture, education and many other scientific fields.

The dossier submitted to UNESCO has been carefully and elaborately prepared by Thai Binh province in coordination with researchers. The dossier affirms that Le Quy Don is an outstanding cultural figure of Vietnam, an erudite scholar. He left behind a huge body of knowledge with hundreds of books including both humanities and natural sciences such as: Phu Bien Tap Luc, Van Dai Loai Ngu, Kien Van Tieu Luc, Dai Viet Thong Su... The dossier submitted to UNESCO this time affirmed: Le Quy Don's legacy is not only a regional research document but also has international value.

In his hometown Thai Binh, there are still many stories about the outstanding intelligence of the child prodigy Le Quy Don and his ambition to help the people and govern the country.

The famous person Le Quy Don once affirmed the location of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa in the book Phu Bien Tap Luc, placing landmarks and maps in Truong Sa to this day.

The delegation of Thai Binh province, in coordination with the Vietnamese Embassy in France, the Vietnamese Delegation to UNESCO and the Vietnamese Cultural Center in France, organized the Conference "Introducing the cultural celebrity Le Quy Don and promoting culture and tourism in Thai Binh province". It is expected that exhibition seminars and research theses on Le Quy Don will be held in Vietnam and France to celebrate the 300th anniversary of his birth in 2026.

The achievements and scientific career of the scholar Le Quy Don have been and are priceless legacies passed down to the next generations, honored by the state and people through many forms of memorialization and commemoration. Currently, there are 40 schools nationwide named after the famous Le Quy Don.
