Exciting Sports Festival in Xuan Phuong Ward

On October 26th, Xuan Phuong ward held the opening ceremony of the first Ward Sports Festival in 2025.

The opening ceremony began with a parade showcasing the strength of the participants, featuring 4 ceremonial contingents and 20 marching contingents. These contingents, representing various agencies, units, schools, and segments of the population, displayed a vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere of competition.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Xuan Phuong Ward, Nguyen Quoc Nam, said that the Congress is a meaningful activity to promote the movement "All people practice physical training following the example of the great President Ho Chi Minh," and also an opportunity to showcase strength and strengthen solidarity in the community. The ward's sports and physical training movement has developed strongly in recent years, attracting a large number of people to participate, with the percentage of people regularly practicing reaching over 45%.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Xuan Phuong Ward also affirmed that the locality will continue to maintain and expand sports clubs, diversify training types, create conditions for discovering and nurturing talented athletes, contributing to the overall sports achievements of the city. This congress is also an opportunity to select outstanding individuals to participate in competitions at higher levels in the future.

The main ceremony was solemn, featuring a torch procession and the traditional lighting of the torch, igniting a flame of enthusiasm, followed by a resolute oath from a representative of the athletes, affirming their commitment to fair and noble competition.

Following the solemn ceremony, the festival program unfolded in a colorful and spectacular manner. The audience witnessed a spirited performance titled "The Splendor of the Land - Brilliant Flags and Flowers," followed by traditional performances such as drum performances and lion and dragon dances, along with a graceful "Magnolia Fan Dance." The program concluded impressively with a rhythmic gymnastics performance and, notably, a creative formation of the words "XP-2025," conveying a message of aspiration and renewed vitality from the youth of Xuan Phuong ward.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the Games commenced with the competition program.
