According to the announcement of admission scores for grade 10 public high schools for the 2024-2025 school year, the admission scores of many schools have decreased compared to the previous school year. So, will the decrease in admission scores at many schools affect the quality of input?

Cam Binh High School is one of 21 non-specialized public high schools whose admission scores have decreased compared to the previous school year. The school's admission score for grade 10 this school year is 17.5 points, down 0.5 points compared to last year.

But according to the school leaders, the decrease in the admission score does not affect the school's input quality but only increases the learning opportunities for students. Because the quality of the school's entrance exam is quite high, with over 90% of the candidates having results above the floor score.

This year, the number of students applying for admission to grade 10 public high schools increased by more than 2,000 candidates compared to last year. Based on that reality and based on the facilities, teaching staff, teaching quality... ofeducational institutions, the enrollment rate was adjusted to increase by 4%, which partly led to the benchmark scores of many schools decreasing compared to the original plan.

Besides 21 schools with reduced admission scores, there are also 11 schools with higher admission scores this year than last year. In general, the quality of admission to grade 10 in Ha Tinh is still stable with a floor score of 15 points, schools range from 15 to 22.75 points.

Compared to previous admissions, the benchmark score for grade 10 in Ha Tinh this year has decreased, but not much, and this does not affect the quality. The adjustment of the admission rate for grade 10 from 70 to 74% is a timely adjustment, meeting the legitimate wishes of the majority of students entering public high schools, and is supported by public opinion./.
