Poveglia Island - Italy
Poveglia is a small abandoned island located between Venice and Lido. The Travel Channel reports that in 421, the island welcomed its first inhabitants, who were fleeing invaders from their previous settlement.
The island was relatively small and could not accommodate many people. For centuries, the small community lived in peace. However, the population gradually decreased and by the 14th century, the island was abandoned.
By 1348, the bubonic plague had ravaged Europe. Because of its location, Poveglia was used as a quarantine center for those infected with the disease, and many people died there. As a result, the island was often rumored to be "haunted."
According to the documentary Ghost Adventures, Poveglia was also once home to mental patients.

Isle of Wight - England
According to the Times of India and the island's website, this place is located in a beautiful location in England, famous for many kinds of exotic flowers and plants. The island has the famous Ventnor Botanical Garden, attracting many tourists.
But this place is considered the most "haunted" island in England! Because Ventnor Botanic Garden used to be the Royal Old National Hospital, which specialized in treating tuberculosis patients. Thousands of patients died, so the hospital is always rumored to be "haunted".
The hospital was demolished in 1969, but some remnants remain, such as a dark Victorian-style rubbish tunnel that leads from the garden to the edge of the cliff. To this day, many believe that the spirits of former patients have not yet passed on, and there are occasional reports of ghostly patients and nurses wandering the botanical gardens, accompanied by moaning sounds.

Legend has it that in 1950, a local resident named Don Julian Santana Barrera saw a little girl fall into an irrigation reservoir but was unable to save her. Shortly after, he saw a doll floating near where she died. He thought it might be the girl’s doll. So he hung it on a tree to appease the spirit of the young victim.
