Floor scores of a series of universities, some "top" schools have decreased by up to 6 points

(Dan Tri) - Many universities in the South continue to announce admission floor scores based on high school graduation scores and other methods. In general, the floor scores are decreasing compared to 2024.

The Admissions Council of Saigon International University (SIU) has just announced the minimum scores for admission methods in 2025.

The threshold to ensure input quality of the high school exam score method is the minimum score of the candidate without coefficient, without adding priority points, bonus points for each admission combination including 3 exams/subjects corresponding to each major.

Accordingly, the threshold to ensure the quality of input for regular training majors/specializations of Saigon International University in the method of considering high school graduation exam scores in 2025 is within the 15 and 16 point range for all admission combinations of the school.

Specifically, the majors/specializations with a floor score of 16 include multimedia communications, public relations, information technology (including majors in information technology, medical information technology, microchip design, graphic design), economic law, computer science (including majors in artificial intelligence, big data systems, software engineering, computer networks & information security), English language (majors in English teaching, business English), logistics & supply chain management, psychology majoring in counseling & therapeutic psychology.

Majors with a floor score of 15 includeeducational technology, business administration, e-commerce, accounting, hotel management, and Oriental studies.

The minimum score based on the 12th grade transcript results for admission to all majors and groups is 18.

According to the assessment method of Ho Chi Minh City National University, the score of the competency assessment test is 600 points.

The minimum score to receive applications to Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) in 2025 based on graduation scores is 15 points for all training majors.

According to the school representative, the admission score for the 2025 high school graduation exam results method will decrease from 1 to 4 points compared to 2024, depending on the training major.

With the method of considering grade 12 transcripts according to a combination of 3 subjects and considering the average score of the entire grade 12 transcript, the score for receiving application documents is 18 points.

Regarding the results of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's aptitude test, the school's admission score is 600/1,200 points, and the V-SAT exam is 225/450 points.

The admission score for Van Lang University in 2025 is from 15 to 18 points based on the high school graduation exam score; from 18 to 23 points based on the high school transcript; and from 600 to 700 points based on the competency assessment test score of Ho Chi Minh City National University.

Specifically, for the floor score based on high school graduation exam scores, the floor score for vocal music, piano, film and television acting, and film and television directing majors has a floor score of 18. All other majors have a floor score of 15.

Regarding the review of academic records, except for the majors of medicine, pharmacy, and dentistry with a minimum score of 23; nursing and medical laboratory technology with a minimum score of 19, all other majors have a minimum score of 18.

The minimum admission score for many majors of the University of Science (Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City) in 2025 has decreased sharply compared to last year.

For the 2025 high school graduation exam score review method, the school's minimum score for each major ranges from 16 to 24 points (including bonus points and priority points).

The score is the same as in 2024, but the minimum score for many majors has decreased from 0.5 to 6 points. Data science has the biggest decrease in the minimum score from 24 to 18 points.

The minimum score for artificial intelligence, computer and information technology, computer science (advanced program) and information technology (English enhancement program) also decreased by 4 points, to 20 points.

For the method of considering the test scores of Ho Chi Minh City National University, the minimum score for majors to enter the school ranges from 600 to 850 points. The two majors of semiconductor technology and microchip design also have the highest minimum score.

Van Hien University has just announced the minimum scores for regular university admission in 2025 in all methods.

For the admission method based on high school graduation exam scores, most of the school's majors have a minimum admission score of 15 points. Some majors have a minimum admission score of 16 points, such as international relations and Vietnamese studies.

For gifted majors such as film and television directing, film and television technology, vocal music and piano, admission will be based on a combination of cultural subjects and gifted exams organized by the school, with separate minimum scores for each exam.

With the admission method using high school transcripts, candidates can choose one of five methods of considering the average score of three subjects in the 10th, 11th and 12th grade semesters. The minimum score for the transcript to enter the school is from 18 after adding priority points if any.

In the admission method using the capacity assessment test scores of Ho Chi Minh City National University, the school sets a floor score of 600 points for all majors, except nursing, vocal music and piano.
