For non-specialized public high schools, candidates will take 3 subjects: Literature (120 minutes), Math (90 minutes) and English (60 minutes).
In the morning of May 28, candidates will take the Math exam at 7:30 a.m., followed by English at 9:45 a.m. In the afternoon of the same day, candidates will take the Literature exam from 2:00 p.m.
For candidates taking the entrance exam to Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, in addition to the three general subjects as above, candidates must take an additional specialized subject according to their registered wishes.
Specialized subjects are organized in two shifts on May 29.
Morning exams include Math, Physics, Chemistry, Literature, English; afternoon exams include Biology, History, Geography, Chinese, and Informatics.
The test time for specialized subjects is 90 minutes (specialized Literature subject is 120 minutes).

To ensure that the exam is conducted seriously, objectively and in accordance with regulations, the Dien Bien Departmentof Education and Training has issued an inspection and examination plan with the following key contents: Inspection of exam preparation (from May 19-23); examination supervision (from May 27-29); marking, grading and re-examining according to a specific schedule. Members of the inspection teams are all officials, civil servants, public employees and teachers of the sector, have no relatives taking the exam and are not currently subject to disciplinary action related to the exam.
Along with that, the Dien Bien Department of Education and Training has requested all cadres, teachers and employees participating in organizing the exam to promote a sense of responsibility, strictly comply with regulations and procedures in organizing the exam. The work of securing exam papers, preventing cheating, and ensuring absolute safety for the exam is given top priority.
This school year, Dien Bien province plans to enroll 8,004 students in grade 10 at public high schools.
Of which, Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted recruits 350 students into 10 specialized classes.
In addition, there are also enrollment quotas for provincial and district-level ethnic boarding schools.
On the afternoon of May 27, all candidates who have registered for the 10th grade exam will begin completing procedures at 32 exam locations.
