Model new rural appearance of Thai Hoa

The road leading to the village with rows of shady green trees, the walls decorated with murals... are the things that we clearly feel the change in Dinh Tre village, Thai Hoa commune, 1 of 2 villages chosen as the point to build a smart village.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Tam, Head of Dinh Tre village, said: “Although the starting point when implementing the construction of a smart village, the village encountered many difficulties, but with the attention and drastic direction of the Party Committee, local authorities, the enthusiastic coordination of agencies, organizations and the consensus and joint efforts of the people, by the end of May 2025, Dinh Tre village was recognized as a smart village.

Up to now, the total number of criteria for villages to self-assess to achieve smart village status according to regulations is 5/5 criteria, 10/10 contents; 100% of households, production and business establishments apply the internet, social networks Zalo, Facebook, e-commerce channels to promote and sell products.

73% of people participate in and use the remote medical examination application; 100% of the population has an electronic medical examination book; over 90.2% of adults in the village use smartphones; 84% of adults in the village have online payment accounts; 100% of the village's roads and village cultural houses are installed with security camera systems, ensuring security and order; in the village, 3 billboards, 6 slogans have been painted, flower beds, a 120 m long fence have been decorated, 650 shade trees have been planted...

Inter-village roads are regularly cleaned by local people, creating a green - clean - beautiful environmental landscape.

In carrying out the task of building a model new rural area and smart village, Thai Hoa commune has promoted democracy, carried out propaganda and mobilization work well and implemented many creative and effective methods in the implementation process. Promoting the role of the people as masters, in the process of implementing the construction of a model new rural area, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Thai Hoa commune always determine to take the people as the central role, unifying the contents, methods and measures to implement with the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people check and people benefit". Therefore, in the process of implementing the criteria, the people are very supportive.

The Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of the commune have focused on leading, directing, and mobilizing the entire political system to participate. Every month and every quarter, the Party Committee has a report assessing the implementation results, reporting on the key tasks of the month and solutions for implementation.

Coordinate with the Commune Fatherland Front Committee and mass organizations to issue plans, directive documents, and propaganda to the Front Working Committees and socio-political organizations in the village for implementation. Deploy many forms of propaganda to all cadres, party members and people through conferences of the Party Committee, Commune People's Committee, village conferences, people's meetings; propagate on the commune's radio system, draw slogans, banners, posters on traffic routes, public areas... so that cadres, party members and people understand the purpose, meaning, importance and content to be implemented in building a model new-style rural commune.

Cultural houses in villages are invested in and built to serve the needs of daily life, meetings, and sports of the people.

Up to now, Thai Hoa commune has 6/12 model villages, of which 2/12 villages have achieved the smart village title; the commune has achieved 4/4 criteria of a model new-style rural commune, period 2021 - 2025. Currently, the whole commune has no households living in temporary or dilapidated houses; people have access to clean water, the average income is more than 79 million VND/person/year; security, social order and safety are ensured; 12/12 villages have achieved the title of cultural village; 97.82% of households have achieved the title of Cultural Family; 3/3 schools have met national standards...

The socio -economic infrastructure has been invested in, and people's lives have been improved both materially and spiritually. The whole commune has 13 clubs, including 12 clubs for arts and sports in the village; 1 club for typical and traditional folk music; all villages have cultural houses to serve community meetings and activities, and have sports grounds and outdoor exercise and sports equipment for people to practice.

Implementing the criteria of landscape and environment, the commune has mobilized people, residential villages, and agencies to classify, collect, and treat waste according to regulations and the commune's waste collection schedule. Thanks to that, there is no littering in the commune; livestock households ensure environmental hygiene, maintain periodic environmental hygiene; 100% of households have sanitary facilities according to regulations.

The inter-village lighting system has been invested to create favorable conditions for people in their daily life and travel.

The whole commune has decorated 80 murals, with more than 2,400 households plastering, lime-washing, and painting fences; creating a "Bright - green - clean - beautiful" environmental landscape. Currently, in the commune, there are more than 40 km of commune roads, village roads, and alleys with drainage systems to ensure good drainage and green - clean - beautiful roads, reaching a rate of 100%. In addition, the Commune Fatherland Front Committee has coordinated with organizations to build 12 "Bright - green - clean - beautiful" roads with a length of 11 km.

In the coming time, the commune will continue to maintain and improve the quality of the model NTM criteria; continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, the role of the Party Committee, government, departments, branches, and organizations, step up propaganda and mobilization, create consensus among the people; actively promote the development of agricultural production and services; support high-income production models to expand production to increase people's income; link economic development with environmental protection and people's health protection.

Focus on improving cultural life, strengthening education, raising people's intellectual level, exploiting cultural institutions well; focusing on building the political system, social order and safety, promoting the central role of the new commune after the merger".
