Recently, a video shared by actor Nguyen Dinh Khang (as Tu) in the movie Red Rain on the social network Threads shows that the movie is receiving enthusiastic love from the audience.

In the video, Dinh Khang, Gia Huy and the actors of the film Red Rain , along with hundreds of moviegoers at the cinema, sing the soundtrack of the film What's More Beautiful? The entire hall of the cinema echoes with the singing of fans of the war film that has grossed over 200 billion VND to date.

Notably, some audiences who interacted with the Red Rain film crew shared with Dan Tri reporters that they could not hold back their tears while singing with the actors.

According to audience members Pham Thi Phuong (office worker) and Do Phuong Thao (student), the Red Rain film crew's interaction with the audience took place on the evening of August 28 at a cinema in Hanoi .

There were a few hundred spectators gathered in the main hall of the cinema to interact with the actors in the film. Among the spectators, some had just seen the film, some had not, but most of them had heard the film's soundtrack, What Could Be More Beautiful , so the duet took place in an emotional atmosphere.

Audience member Chau (student) could not hold back her tears when singing along with Dinh Khang and Gia Huy in this short video.

Chau said: "After watching the movie, I felt very emotional. The movie realistically and painfully recreated the war years, where soldiers sacrificed their youth and lives to gain independence and freedom. I also remembered my grandfather who died on the battlefield and to this day his family has not found his grave." That's why Chau cried while singing.

This audience member also said: "Everyone cried when watching the movie in theaters. The movie was so good and meaningful."

Audience member Pham Thi Phuong shared that she cried and was still haunted by the character Tu played by actor Dinh Khang.

"I really like Khang's role as Tu, very innocent and pure. Although young, he is very brave, wanting to rush into battle to fight with his brothers. I feel so sorry for him, I always feel sorry for the character," Phuong said emotionally.

As someone who has watched the movie Red Rain twice , Phuong was especially impressed with the scene where the character Tu sacrificed himself on the Thach Han River: "Because Tu was so young, I felt so sad. After watching the movie, I looked up at the sky and felt grateful and proud of my ancestors' generation."

Besides Tu, the role of Sen played by actor Hoang Long also left a strong impression on Phuong.

Phuong shared: "The war was so fierce. When he was crazy and no longer aware of anything, he (Sen) still fought until the last minute of his life. The last image of Sen reaching out to grab his burning comrade is imprinted in my mind about the comradeship and revolutionary ideals of Uncle Ho's soldiers."

Do Phuong Thao is also a young audience member. She said she couldn't stop crying from the moment the character Tu sacrificed himself. "After watching, I realized what our ancestors had to go through and what they had to sacrifice to have the independence, freedom, and development they have today," Phuong Thao shared.

The film Red Rain is acting as an emotional bridge, helping audiences, especially the younger generation, to better understand the great sacrifices of national heroes. The film has succeeded in arousing patriotism, national pride and conveying a profound humanistic message.

Red Rain , produced by People's Army Cinema, is a film about revolutionary war based on a script by writer Chu Lai.

The film is inspired and fictionalized from the event of 81 days and nights of heroic and resilient fighting by the people and officers and soldiers to protect Quang Tri Citadel in 1972.

At the film's premiere in Ho Chi Minh City, actor Dinh Khang revealed that to fully transform into the role of Tu, he had to lose weight for half a month, and at the same time overcome many of his own fears.

The actor revealed: “My biggest worry when filming was how to maintain the purity and innocence of the character Tu, because I am 25 years old. Before filming, I weighed 67kg and director Dang Thai Huyen asked me to lose weight.

Luckily, I lost 56kg in just half a month. I couldn’t swim and was afraid of the dark, but in the final scene of the film, I had to dive deep into the water with almost no oxygen. These challenges helped me overcome my fear, grow up and learn a lot.”
