Conditions for opening a rehabilitation clinic

(Chinhphu.vn) - Mr. Tran Van Hon (HCMC) is a traditional medicine doctor, already has a practice license. He wants to take an additional rehabilitation training course, so after finishing the course, will he have to do an internship to get a rehabilitation practice license? When adding the scope of rehabilitation practice, will he be allowed to open a rehabilitation clinic?

Regarding this issue, the Ministry of Health responded as follows:

It is recommended that Mr. Hon clarify whether the output of the rehabilitation training course is a diploma or a certificate and study Article 125 of Decree No. 96/2023/ND-CP dated December 30, 2023 of the Government detailing a number of articles of the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment to adjust the scope of practice in accordance with regulations.

After being added to the scope of practice in accordance with regulations and having practiced in that scope for at least 36 months, continue to prepare a dossier requesting a new operating license for the specialized clinic and send it to the Department of Health in the management area for settlement according to the correct authority.
