Do Thi Ha: Miss Vietnam does not need to show off, just needs to live up to the mission

Regarding the beauties participating in the Miss Vietnam 2024 contest, Do Thi Ha shared frankly and practically about her journey of "becoming a beauty queen" with the young beauties.

The pressure of the beauty queen crown and the price of fame

At the age of 19, when she was crowned Miss Vietnam, Do Thi Ha faced many conflicting opinions about her appearance and behavior. This was not uncommon for many beauties before her. However, she chose to face it calmly, matured herself, and demonstrated the qualities of a representative of Vietnamese beauty.

Up to now, the beauty from Thanh Hoa has had a successful term with a meaningful journey as a beauty queen. She has made her mark with international achievements such as being in Top Model, Miss Talent, Beauty with a Purpose and Top 13 Miss World 2021. Notably, she won the Digital Media Challenge category - a contest to spread personal messages on digital platforms, overcoming challenges from public opinion.

Domestically, Do Thi Ha is recognized for her charity project "Peaceful Houses" in Quang Nam , which supported the construction of 18 new houses after natural disasters and contributed to local schools. This project was also included in Miss World's Beauty with a Purpose list.

Despite her busy schedule at home and abroad, she still completed her bachelor's degree in Economic Law at the National Economics University (Hanoi) on time. After her term, she continued to participate in social activities and established a scholarship fund in her name, considering this a fulfillment.

Sharing with reporters, Do Thi Ha admitted that she had been under great pressure when compared, criticized and asked sensitive questions many times. She emphasized that this is a common challenge for most beauty queens. Ha believes that she, the organizers as well as the audience and fans all understand the true value of Miss Vietnam - from the prestige of the contest to the quality of the contestants. Therefore, she does not think there is a need to be eager to show off or use tricks to create effects.

According to Ha, a beauty pageant that aims for sustainable, humane and quality values will truly maintain public interest. Do Thi Ha also emphasized that the title of Miss comes with pressure, requiring balance and great responsibility from young girls.
