Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Inspector General Duong Quoc Huy, on behalf of the Government Inspectorate's leadership, expressed his gratitude to Mr. Phan Duc Tu and the leadership and staff of BIDV for hosting and working with the high-ranking delegation of the Cambodian Ministry of Inspection in a thoughtful, respectful and friendly manner.
Deputy Inspector General of the Government of Vietnam Duong Quoc Huy affirmed that this visit and working session of the Minister has opened a new chapter for the good cooperation between the two Inspection Agencies of the two countries. The Government Inspectorate of Vietnam arranged for the delegation of senior officials of the Cambodian Inspectorate to visit and work at BIDV because in the Cambodian market, BIDV is the leading Vietnamese financial institution in direct investment activities and financial and credit cooperation in Cambodia, contributing to the implementation of the policy of the two Governments on promoting bilateral investment - trade - tourism activities commensurate with the good traditional political and diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cambodia.
Deputy Inspector General of the Government of Vietnam Duong Quoc Huy requested that BIDV report to the Delegation on BIDV's operations, BIDV's important contributions to the Vietnamese economy , the contributions of BIDV's commercial presences to the Cambodian economy, and BIDV's internal control system.
On behalf of BIDV's leadership, Mr. Phan Duc Tu, Chairman of BIDV's Board of Directors, was pleased to welcome the high-ranking delegation of the Cambodian Ministry of Inspection and representatives of the Government Inspectorate to visit and work at BIDV bank.
BIDV Board of Directors Chairman Phan Duc Tu said that with the goal of connecting the Vietnam - Cambodia financial markets, since 2009, BIDV has established commercial presences in Cambodia in areas such as banking, insurance, and securities in Cambodia.
In the coming time, BIDV identifies Cambodia as a key market with long-term strategic significance, contributing to promoting economic, investment, political, trade, cultural, and national defense relations between the two countries. Continue to implement investment cooperation activities in the Cambodian market, closely following the policies and orientations of the Government, the State Bank of Vietnam and the ministries, branches and cooperation committees of the two countries; consolidate and enhance the position of BIDV's commercial presence in the Cambodian market, successfully fulfilling the role of connecting the financial and banking markets of the two countries; continue to carry out social security and community development activities, contributing to the economic and social development of Cambodia.
Speaking at the working session, Mr. Huot Hak, Minister of Inspection of Cambodia expressed his joy and honor to visit and work at BIDV and sincerely thanked Mr. Phan Duc Tu, BIDV's board of directors and staff for their warm and respectful welcome.
The Minister of Inspection of Cambodia acknowledged, evaluated and congratulated BIDV on the achievements gained during the past 67 years of operation to become one of the major banks, contributing to the socio-economic development of Vietnam. At the same time, he wished BIDV to grow stronger and stronger.
In addition, Mr. Huot Hak congratulated BIDC's progress in Cambodia. BIDC Bank has promoted the development of many fields in Cambodia, creating jobs and financial resources for Cambodia.
