The Government Inspectorate held a department-level meeting in March.

The report at the meeting showed that in March 2025, the Government Inspector General and Deputy Government Inspectors General attended all meetings of the Central Committee, the National Assembly, and the Government according to the work program, plan, and ad hoc meetings.

The Government Inspectorate's leaders directed departments, divisions, and units to improve the quality and efficiency of their work; speed up the implementation of tasks according to the 2025 work plan and program and assigned urgent tasks in all aspects of work.

Highly focus on completing the Project "arranging the inspection agency system to be streamlined, strong, effective, efficient and effective" to submit to the Politburo for approval and advise the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee to implement Conclusion No. 134-KL/TW dated March 28, 2025 of the Politburo and the Secretariat on the Project.

Up to now, the Government Inspectorate has submitted to the Government and the Prime Minister: Plan to implement Conclusion No. 134-KL/TW of the Politburo; Law on Inspection (amended), Decree guiding the implementation of the Law on Inspection (amended); Decree stipulating the functions, tasks and organizational structure of the Government Inspectorate; and developing a plan for the Government Inspectorate to implement Conclusion No. 134-KL/TW.

Regarding inspection work, in March, the Government Inspectorate conducted 22 inspections, of which 3 have issued inspection conclusions; 7 inspections are preparing to issue conclusions; 6 inspections are preparing reports and draft inspection conclusions; 6 inspections are conducting direct inspections.

Regarding the work of receiving citizens, handling petitions and resolving complaints and denunciations, in March 2025, the Central Citizen Reception Headquarters received 310 visits with 791 citizens presenting 308 cases, with 26 large groups with a total of 441 citizens presenting 26 cases.

Implementing the conclusion of General Secretary To Lam in Notice No. 142-TB/VPTW dated March 20, 2025 of the Central Office on the settlement of prolonged complaints and denunciations, which were sent to the central level in Hanoi for 226 cases, the Government Inspectorate has advised on the development and submission to the Prime Minister for promulgation of the General Secretary's Plan and established a Working Group of the Prime Minister for direction; organized a conference to disseminate, deploy and promulgate the Implementation Plan.

In the work of preventing and combating corruption, the organization implemented the tasks assigned by the Steering Committee. In addition, other aspects of work also achieved many results according to the plan and direction of the Government Inspectorate leadership.

Speaking at the meeting, Government Inspector General Doan Hong Phong said that in March 2025, the Government Inspectorate made many efforts, implemented work according to the program and work plan and achieved many positive results.

Regarding the tasks for April, Inspector General Doan Hong Phong requested departments and units to urgently overcome existing shortcomings and limitations; continue to implement resolutions and directions of the Central Government, National Assembly, Government, Prime Minister, closely follow the work program, plan and direction of the Government Inspectorate leadership.

The Inspector General requested departments, bureaus and units to continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the resolutions and directions of the Government, the Prime Minister, the Steering Committee and the Party Committee on inspection. Continue to implement the 2025 Inspection Plan and assigned surprise inspections; speed up the issuance of inspection conclusions, especially those assigned by the Steering Committee and the Prime Minister; strengthen publicity and transparency, improve discipline, administrative discipline and public ethics in inspection activities.

Regarding the work of receiving citizens and handling complaints and denunciations, the Government Inspector General requested the leaders of the Government Inspectorate and units, especially the 3 local Departments, to focus on implementing the Conclusion of General Secretary To Lam on handling prolonged complaints and denunciations that have gone beyond the central level, determined to complete the handling of 226 cases in the second quarter of 2025 in accordance with the direction.

The Central Citizen Reception Committee shall take the lead in advising on the effective implementation of citizen reception work at the Headquarters; coordinate with competent authorities and localities in handling citizens' complaints to the Central Government. Deploy the Plan to implement Conclusion No. 107-KL/TW dated December 24, 2024 of the Politburo on strengthening the Party's leadership in citizen reception work and handling complaints, denunciations, petitions and reflections, especially mass incidents and incidents related to personnel of Party congresses at all levels.

Regarding the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity, the Inspector General requested Department IV to preside over and advise on continuing to implement the Plan to implement the 2025 work program according to the work program of the Steering Committee; Plan of the Government Inspectorate to perform the tasks of the Government Inspector General and members of the Steering Committee according to the 2025 work program; Plan No. 158/KH-TTCP dated February 11, 2025 on implementing the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity of the Government Inspectorate in 2025.

Continue to implement the National Strategy on Anti-Corruption and Negativity until 2030. Complete the report and draft conclusion on asset and income verification in 2023; implement the asset and income verification plan in 2024; advise on the issuance of the Asset and Income Verification Plan in 2025.

The Government Inspector General requested the Party Committee to coordinate with the Head of the unit to lead and direct the organization to disseminate, study, develop programs, plans and organize the implementation of Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW and Conclusion No. 115-KL/TW dated January 16, 2025 of the Party Central Committee.
