The Government Inspectorate held its March departmental briefing meeting.

The report presented at the meeting indicated that, in March 2025, the Inspector General of the Government and the Deputy Inspectors General fully attended all meetings of the Central Committee, the National Assembly, and the Government according to the work program and plan, as well as on an ad hoc basis.

The leaders of the Government Inspectorate directed departments, divisions, and units to improve the quality and efficiency of their work; accelerate the implementation of tasks according to the 2025 work plan and program, as well as assigned unexpected tasks in all aspects of their work.

Focus intensely on finalizing the Project "Reorganizing the inspection agency system to be streamlined, strong, efficient, effective, and efficient" for submission to the Politburo for approval and advising the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee on the implementation of Conclusion No. 134-KL/TW dated March 28, 2025, of the Politburo and the Secretariat on the Project.

To date, the Government Inspectorate has submitted to the Government and the Prime Minister: the Plan for implementing Conclusion No. 134-KL/TW of the Politburo; the Law on Inspection (amended), the Decree guiding the implementation of the Law on Inspection (amended); the Decree stipulating the functions, tasks and organizational structure of the Government Inspectorate; and the Government Inspectorate's plan for implementing Conclusion No. 134-KL/TW.

Regarding inspection work, in March, the Government Inspectorate conducted 22 inspections, of which 3 have had their inspection conclusions issued; 7 inspections are in the process of having their conclusions issued; 6 inspections are in the process of preparing reports and draft inspection conclusions; and 6 inspections are currently being conducted on-site.

Regarding citizen reception, handling of petitions, and resolution of complaints and denunciations, in March 2025, the Central Citizen Reception Office received 310 visits from 791 citizens presenting 308 cases, including 26 large groups of 441 citizens presenting 26 cases.

In implementing the conclusions of General Secretary To Lam in Notice No. 142-TB/VPTW dated March 20, 2025, from the Central Office regarding the resolution of prolonged and escalated complaints and denunciations in Hanoi concerning 226 cases, the Government Inspectorate advised on the development and submission to the Prime Minister of the General Secretary's Plan and established a Prime Minister's Task Force to direct the implementation; organized a conference to disseminate and implement the Plan.

In the fight against corruption, the organization has implemented the tasks assigned by the Steering Committee. In addition, other aspects of its work have also achieved many results in accordance with the plan and directives of the Government Inspectorate leadership.

Speaking at the meeting, the Inspector General of the Government, Doan Hong Phong, stated that in March 2025, the Government Inspectorate had made many efforts, implemented its work according to the work program and plan, and achieved many positive results.

Regarding the tasks for April, Inspector General Doan Hong Phong requested that departments and units promptly address existing shortcomings and limitations; continue to implement resolutions and directives of the Central Committee, the National Assembly, the Government, and the Prime Minister; and closely follow the work program, plan, and directives of the leaders of the Government Inspectorate.

The Inspector General requested that departments, bureaus, and units continue to effectively implement the resolutions and directives of the Government, the Prime Minister, the Steering Committee, and the Party Committee on inspection matters. They should continue to implement the 2025 inspection plan and assigned unscheduled inspections; expedite the issuance of inspection conclusions, especially those assigned by the Steering Committee and the Prime Minister; and enhance transparency, improve administrative discipline and public service ethics in inspection activities.

Regarding the handling of citizen complaints and denunciations, the Inspector General of the Government requested the leaders of the Government Inspectorate and its units, especially the three regional departments, to focus their utmost efforts on implementing the conclusions of General Secretary To Lam on resolving long-standing and escalated complaints and denunciations to the central level, and to be determined to complete the resolution of 226 cases in the second quarter of 2025 as directed.

The Central Citizen Reception Board is responsible for advising on and effectively implementing citizen reception work at its headquarters; coordinating with relevant agencies and localities in handling citizen complaints submitted to the central government. It also implements the Plan for implementing Conclusion No. 107-KL/TW dated December 24, 2024, of the Politburo on strengthening the Party's leadership over citizen reception work and resolving complaints, denunciations, petitions, and feedback, especially cases involving large numbers of people and cases related to personnel for Party congresses at all levels.

Regarding the work of preventing and combating corruption and negative practices, the Inspector General requested Department IV to take the lead in advising on the continued implementation of the 2025 work program according to the work program of the Steering Committee; the Government Inspectorate's plan to carry out the tasks of the Inspector General of the Government and members of the Steering Committee according to the 2025 work program; and Plan No. 158/KH-TTCP dated February 11, 2025, on the implementation of the Government Inspectorate's work on preventing and combating corruption and negative practices in 2025.

Continue implementing the National Strategy on Anti-Corruption and Negative Practices until 2030. Complete the report and draft conclusions on asset and income verification for 2023; implement the asset and income verification plan for 2024; and advise on the issuance of the asset and income verification plan for 2025.

The Inspector General of the Government requests that Party committees coordinate with heads of units to lead and direct the organization of dissemination, study, development of programs and plans, and implementation of Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW and Conclusion No. 115-KL/TW dated January 16, 2025, of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
