The first groups of tourists arrived in Hanoi early this morning and are expected to visit the Hoa Lo Prison historical site, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, and the Temple of Literature.
After exploring Hanoi, the tour group will travel to Ninh Binh, and their main destination will be Ha Long (Quang Ninh).
According to the previously scheduled itinerary, a group of 4,500 employees from Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Limited (India) will visit Vietnam for tourism from August 27th to September 7th. The group will be divided into 6 to 7 smaller groups, arriving in Vietnam in several batches.
The tour group will utilize high-end accommodation at 4-5 star hotels and have specific dietary requirements tailored to their beliefs and religions. Additionally, they require a minimum of three guides for each group of approximately 30-35 people to ensure the best possible experience. The selected guides must be fluent in Hindi, and introductions at tourist attractions, typically in English and Vietnamese, will be supplemented with informational materials translated into Hindi.
In Hanoi, the group will stay at hotels including InterContinental Hanoi Landmark72, Meliá Hanoi, Movenpick Living West Hanoi, Pan Pacific Hanoi and Novotel Hanoi Thai Ha.
Currently, the localities included in the tour itinerary of the aforementioned tourist group are also ready to welcome them. Mr. Pham Duy Phong, Deputy Director of the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism, said that the group will be divided into 7 groups to visit the Trang An ecological tourist area.
"With experience in welcoming many large groups of tourists, after receiving the document from the Vietnam National Tourism Administration and Vietravel Tourism Company, the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism coordinated with relevant departments, agencies, and businesses to prepare the best conditions to welcome the group," Mr. Phong said.
According to Mr. Phong, the fact that the Indian billionaire's delegation chose to visit Trang An confirms the attractiveness of Trang An's beauty to international tourists. At the same time, this event is also expected to help promote the image of Ninh Binh tourism to the international community.
Regarding accommodation, a representative from the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism stated that Ninh Binh city currently has approximately 10 hotels meeting 4-5 star standards, which can accommodate the needs of tour groups. However, food may present challenges as Indian guests often require specific meals according to their culture. The Department has instructed businesses to offer accelerated cooking training courses in the Indian style.
Previously, a representative from Vietravel Tourism Company stated that, due to the large number of tourists traveling in groups this time, the company had prepared a very detailed plan outlining the series of activities that the tourists would participate in.
According to the General Statistics Office, in the first seven months of 2024, India ranked 7th among Vietnam's top 10 international tourist markets.
