Vietnamese students achieve outstanding results at the International Mathematics Competition (IMC) 2025

At the International Mathematics Competition (IMC) 2025 held in Singapore in early August, the Vietnamese student delegation achieved outstanding results with a total of 63 awards, including 11 Gold Medals, 16 Silver Medals, 28 Bronze Medals and 8 Encouragement Prizes.

Since its launch, the IMC Competition has attracted the attention of many students at high schools nationwide. After the Qualifying Round in Vietnam, the delegation selected 63 excellent candidates to attend the Final Round in Singapore.

As a result, all 63 Vietnamese contestants achieved results, of which 55 won medals, demonstrating the careful preparation, serious learning spirit and capacity of Vietnamese students in the international intellectual arena.

The IMC (International Mathematics Contest) is an annual competition organized by IMC Union in Singapore since 2005, attracting students from grades 3 to 8 from many countries and territories.

This is not only a Math playground but also a forum to promote passion for science , logical thinking and problem solving ability among high school students.

The Vietnamese delegation was selected through a rigorous and fair national qualifying round. The best candidates from many primary and secondary schools nationwide represented Vietnam in the Final Round. Among them, two students from MAY Primary and Secondary School, Do Bao An (class 4B1) and Le Viet Tung (class 5A1), won Silver Medals, contributing to the overall achievement of the delegation.

Not only is it a place to test academic skills, IMC 2025 also provides Vietnamese students with the opportunity to exchange and experience international culture. During their time participating, they explored many destinations in Singapore, connected with international friends and accumulated more experiences.

With the motto “Science has no borders”, IMC connects the global education community, promoting the movement of learning Mathematics, especially in Primary and Secondary schools. After 20 years of organization, IMC has affirmed its role as an intellectual playground, a launching pad for students who love Mathematics around the world, creating the premise for future scholarship and study abroad opportunities.
