34 provinces and cities set off fireworks on National Day

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested 34 provinces and cities to organize well cultural activities, music nights and fireworks displays on the occasion of National Day, September 2.

Chairing the regular Government meeting on the morning of August 7, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also asked localities to "avoid regrettable mistakes" when organizing events to celebrate National Day. Organizing music nights and fireworks displays in 34 provinces and cities on the occasion of National Day aims to create a joyful, exciting, motivating, inspiring atmosphere, contributing to improving people's spiritual lives.

On the occasion of National Day, about 200 large projects were started and inaugurated.

In August 1945, the general uprising to seize power across the country succeeded in 15 days, Vietnam became independent after nearly 100 years of domination by French colonialists and Japanese fascists.

On September 2, at Ba Dinh Square, before a rally of hundreds of thousands of compatriots, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence , declaring to all the people and the world the birth of the independent and free Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

In preparation for the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, the forces are actively practicing. It is expected that there will be 6 forces participating, including: the traditional torch bearer and the fire guard; the ceremonial artillery; the air force flying a salute; the military parade; the background standing and finally the force forming shapes and letters.

The parade force includes 4 ceremonial groups; 43 groups representing armed forces (26 military groups, 17 police groups), including foreign military groups; military vehicles, special police vehicles; sea parade; 12 mass parade groups; and one cultural and sports village group.

The background force includes the honor guard, 11 military units, and 7 police units.
