Quang Tri Volunteer Group supports Nghe An people affected by floods

Faced with the impact of storm No. 3 and floods in recent days, causing serious damage to people and property of the people in the mountainous areas of Nghe An, promoting the spirit of "mutual love" and "helping each other", Quang Tri Charity Association 74 traveled nearly 600km to My Ly commune, Ky Son district (old), now My Ly commune in Nghe An province, a mountainous locality, bordering Laos, to give gifts to people affected by floods.

Here, on the morning of July 29, the delegation presented nearly 100 gifts to households affected by floods, including 47 households whose houses completely collapsed, receiving support of 1 million VND/household.

Previously, due to the impact of storm Wipha (storm number 3), Nghe An experienced heavy rain. Floods from upstream caused inundation, flash floods, landslides in dozens of communes in old mountainous districts such as Ky Son, Con Cuong, Quy Chau, Que Phong, Anh Son.

Up to now, local authorities and functional forces are urgently overcoming the consequences caused by floods.

On this occasion, Quang Tri Charity Association 74 plans to present about 202 gifts, including 100 million VND in cash and 60 million VND worth of goods and necessities; households whose houses were completely swept away by the flood will be given 1-2 million VND.

The entire amount was donated by philanthropists, organizations and individuals inside and outside the province through the Quang Tri Charity Association 74 to support people affected by floods in Nghe An.
