Businesses are accelerating the digitalization of production and business operations.
In recent times, many businesses in Quang Ninh have proactively considered digital transformation as a key solution to improve management efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality. Digital transformation is no longer just a slogan, but has become a mandatory requirement if businesses want to withstand competitive pressure and market fluctuations.
Mr. Tran Dinh Chinh, Director of Tan Viet Quang Ninh Technology Investment and Development Co., Ltd., said that the company has digitized key aspects of its business operations. Besides providing security camera solutions, computers, and office equipment, the company has implemented management software such as MISA , AMIS, and sales systems like Eshop and Kiot… As a result, goods, revenue, and expenses are more tightly controlled, and centralized data helps leaders monitor the situation and make timely decisions.
In the field of education and training, Ms. Le Thi Linh, Director of Smart Edu International Education and Training Company Limited, stated that the company has applied fingerprint biometric technology to assess students' intelligence, emotional intelligence, creativity, and English language learning abilities. Based on this digital data, the center develops personalized learning paths, tracks progress, and provides feedback to parents, thereby improving the quality of training and brand reputation.
From the perspective of a representative organization, Mr. Pham Van The, Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial Business Association, said that the province currently has more than 12,000 businesses, many of which have begun digital transformation to varying degrees.
To support businesses, the province and the Association organize workshops and training courses on management, business startup, and digital transformation; they also establish a free consulting and support team, connecting businesses with solution providers such as Viettel Quang Ninh and VNPT Quang Ninh.
However, the number of businesses that have undergone comprehensive digital transformation remains low; most are only at the stage of readiness or partial implementation, indicating that the decisive role still lies in the vision and commitment to innovation of the businesses themselves.
In the tourism and service sector, market pressure is accelerating the digital transformation process. Mr. Nguyen Viet Hoan, a representative of a travel agency in Quang Ninh, said that many hotels and travel agencies have adopted Property Management Systems (PMS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to automate booking, check-in, check-out processes and customer data management. These platforms save time, reduce errors, and provide a professional and seamless experience for tourists, especially international visitors.
Simultaneously, tourism businesses are actively leveraging websites, social media, and OTA channels such as Booking.com and Agoda to promote their products and reach global customers. Data collected from these digital platforms allows them to design tour packages and services tailored to each segment. Some businesses have even developed virtual tour experiences of Quang Ninh Museum, Yen Tu, Ha Long Bay, etc., contributing to increasing the attractiveness of destinations in the digital space.
In many other sectors, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have deployed cloud-based accounting, human resource management (HRM), and warehouse management systems (WMS). This shift to the cloud reduces investment costs, increases flexibility, facilitates scaling, and enhances data security – a crucial factor for logistics and port services businesses. Security solutions, access control, and data backup are also prioritized, thereby protecting digital assets and ensuring stable business operations.

Towards becoming a digital economic hub, with green and sustainable development.
During working sessions and meetings with businesses, the Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, Bui Van Khang, repeatedly emphasized the need to build long-term, sustainable, and environmentally friendly business strategies; focusing on new areas such as digital transformation, green transformation, circular economy, knowledge economy, and adaptation to climate change. Digital transformation, therefore, is not just a matter of technology, but is placed within the overall goal of innovating the province's growth model.
Following this direction, businesses are encouraged to restructure their production and business models to maximize the advantages of the digital economy, while also aligning with green and circular economy goals. Businesses that invest systematically in digital infrastructure, data, and digital human resources will have greater opportunities to expand their markets and participate more deeply in regional and global value chains.
Recent experience shows that digital transformation is an irreversible wave, a "golden lever" helping Quang Ninh businesses enhance their competitiveness and expand their integration opportunities. As digital infrastructure continues to improve, the investment and business environment stabilizes, coupled with the support of the government and business support organizations, Quang Ninh has a solid foundation to realize its goal of becoming one of the most dynamic digital economic centers, leading the country in digital transformation, and making increasingly significant contributions to the sustainable development of the Northeast region and the national economy.
