Businesses speed up production and prepare goods for Tet

In the last month of 2025, the production and supply atmosphere at many businesses in Thanh Hoa is heating up day by day. The demand for consumption during the 2026 Binh Ngo Tet holiday is forecast to increase by 12-15% compared to the previous year, leading to great pressure on supply but also opening up opportunities for businesses to expand their markets, improve products and boost revenue. To meet the sharp increase in consumption, many units have activated peak production mode early, worked overtime, stockpiled raw materials and promoted market connections to ensure abundant supply before Tet.

At Trang An 3 Confectionery Joint Stock Company - Thanh Hoa Branch, production and distribution activities for the "Tet season" have been deployed since the beginning of October. This is one of the units with large consumption output in the Thanh Hoa market, especially in the product groups of biscuits, soft candies, peanut candies, jelly candies and Tet gift baskets.

The branch representative said that the volume of goods this year is expected to increase by about 18% compared to 2025, equivalent to nearly 1,000 tons distributed to the market. The unit also launched 12 new gift basket models with a segment ranging from 180,000 VND to over 1 million VND; in which the high-end product line increased sharply due to the gift-giving demand of businesses and agencies. To ensure progress, workers work 1-2 hours extra each day, the packaging line operates continuously; the goods have been signed to be displayed early at GO! Thanh Hoa, Co.opmart, Vinmart+ and more than 500 points of sale in the province.

The garment and fashion industry is also entering the peak season for Tet this year. At Appareltech Garment Export Company Limited (Tay Do Commune), the production atmosphere has become urgent since the beginning of November when the company received many orders for the domestic market. Although the main activity is still export, Tet is always the time when domestic demand increases sharply, especially for coats, trousers, woolen dresses, and children's clothing.

The company's HR manager, Le Thi Giang, said: "This year's purchasing power is expected to increase by about 10-12%, so since October we have proactively allocated a portion of our capacity to produce goods for the domestic market. Workers are given reasonable overtime to ensure progress while still maintaining the quality of each product."

According to Ms. Giang, the company has imported raw materials early to avoid price fluctuations; at the same time, it has designed more simple models and neutral colors to suit the 2026 Tet consumption trend. Up to now, about 65 - 70% of Tet goods have been completed, the remaining orders will be delivered to agents in the province and some neighboring provinces right after the full moon of December.

In the group of agricultural products and fresh food, large suppliers have also made early preparations. GO! Thanh Hoa supermarket is working with nearly 40 suppliers in the province to ensure a stable supply, especially for beef, pork, hill chicken, ham, vegetables and fruits. To stabilize prices, the supermarket has signed weekly contracts with large farms in the province. The amount of essential goods imported is expected to increase by 25-30%; the group of processed foods will increase by over 35% due to the strong increase in demand for gifts and family parties in the two weeks before Tet. Co.opmart Thanh Hoa chain and many mini supermarkets in the area are also preparing to launch a discount program on more than 2,500 items from the beginning of December to December 29, focusing on dry foods, beverages, cosmetics and household goods.

Along with large-scale enterprises, many traditional specialty production facilities of Thanh Hoa are also preparing goods to serve the needs of gift giving and year-end consumption. However, instead of describing the production process in detail like previous years, this year's focus is on quality control and maintaining stable prices in the context of fluctuating input costs.

At the Chinh Ha clean tea facility (Hoang Giang commune), the manual roasting kitchens operate continuously from early morning to late evening. This year's tea output increased by about 20% compared to 2024 due to the sharp increase in demand for gifts. The owner of the facility, Do Thi Ha, said: "The tea is roasted carefully, the aroma is kept natural and the water color is clear, so we have to carefully "select" the ingredients, then roast them manually in small batches. Input costs such as coal and labor have increased, but the facility still tries to keep prices stable so that customers can shop with peace of mind." Currently, the facility has prepared nearly 5 tons of finished tea, ready to be put on the market from mid-December.

In addition to the traditional supply of goods, the 2026 Tet market in Thanh Hoa also recorded the initiative of many businesses in launching new products and adjusting distribution strategies. Supermarket systems GO! Thanh Hoa, Co.opmart, Winmart... have sharply increased the number of orders from manufacturing enterprises in the province, especially for fast-moving consumer goods, confectionery, fashion, and household appliances.

Thanks to the early preparation of businesses, the coordination of the distribution system and the close management of the authorities, the 2026 Tet market in Thanh Hoa is forecast to be stable, without shortages or large price fluctuations. Product designs, packaging and quality are increasingly improved, helping businesses increase their competitiveness and meet the shopping needs of the Tet holiday. In the context of a highly competitive market, accelerating production early continues to be the key to ensuring abundant supply, bringing people a full and secure "Tet season".
