Delegates attending the first conference of advanced models of the Department of Agriculture and Environment (2025-2030).

Speaking at the conference, Mr. To Hoai Phuong, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, said that recently the province's agricultural sector has organized and implemented many Patriotic emulation movements associated with campaigns to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology and moral example, suitable to the specific conditions of the industry, closely linked with farmers and workers producing products to serve the essential needs of society.

Accordingly, in the past 5 years, many movements have been widely deployed such as: The emulation movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Ca Mau province by 2025"; emulation movements to implement the administrative reform program, practice thrift, and fight waste; emulation movement "Ca Mau joins hands to build new rural areas"... The movements have made an important contribution to the construction of new rural areas, with 39 communes meeting the standards, of which 3 communes met the advanced standards and 1 commune met the model standards.

Mr. To Hoai Phuong, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, emphasized the industry's outstanding results in emulation movements.

The work of discovering and replicating advanced models has also been focused on. The whole industry has had 1,048 initiatives and solutions of 2,677 individuals recognized at the department level; 40 initiatives of 112 individuals recognized at the provincial level. Many useful initiatives and models have been replicated, contributing positively to the development of agriculture and the environment.

With outstanding achievements, the Agriculture and Environment sector has many collectives and individuals being awarded at all levels. Regarding collectives, 1 unit was awarded the Emulation Flag by the Prime Minister; the Provincial People's Committee awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag to 23 collectives; the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 11 collectives; 122 collectives achieved the title of Excellent Labor; 892 collectives achieved the title of Advanced Labor.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Su awarded the President's Labor Medal to individuals.

Regarding individuals, 2 individuals received the Second Class Labor Medal; 22 individuals received the Third Class Labor Medal; 95 individuals received certificates of merit from the Prime Minister; 19 individuals achieved the title of Provincial Emulation Fighter; 575 individuals received certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Comrade Phan Hoang Vu, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, awarded Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister to 27 individuals.

In addition, the province also unexpectedly rewarded more than 510 collectives and 920 individuals inside and outside the industry with outstanding achievements in emulation movements launched by the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee.

Comrade Bui Minh Hai, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, awarded certificates of merit from the Provincial People's Committee Chairman to individuals.

On this occasion, the Department of Agriculture and Environment had 2 more groups and 14 typical advanced individuals awarded certificates of merit by the Provincial People's Committee; 20 groups and 333 individuals were awarded by the Department Director.

In particular, the President awarded the Second Class Labor Medal to 1 individual; the Third Class Labor Medal to 3 individuals. The Prime Minister awarded certificates of merit to 27 individuals with outstanding achievements in the 2019-2023 period.

Recognizing and praising the contributions of individuals and collectives of the agriculture and rural development sector to the overall socio-economic development of the province, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Su emphasized: "Building emulation movements and advanced models is ultimately to best complete the assigned tasks. To have more models, it is necessary to promote the role of leaders, from the Board of Directors to affiliated units, creating conditions for cadres and employees to promote creativity. The sector needs to continue to innovate, create, strongly apply science and technology in all tasks; be flexible, adaptive, strongly promote emulation movements, focus on areas of strength and remove difficulties in areas that are still stuck".
