Speaking at the opening ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Trao, Vice Rector of Hanoi National University of Education, said: Since its first organization in 2007, the Asian Complexity Conference has been held in rotation in many countries and territories such as Japan, China, India, Korea, Australia, Malaysia and Thailand. Through each organization, the Asian Complexity Conference has affirmed its position as one of the leading prestigious scientific forums for researchers in the field of complex chemistry.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Trao emphasized: "We always believe that science has no borders. Through international cooperation, the scientific community can join hands to solve global challenges, motivate and inspire the younger generation, and move towards a sustainable future. This conference is a valuable opportunity for scientists to share ideas, exchange experiences and build deep, long-term academic relationships."

Speaking at the workshop, Permanent Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong emphasized: The workshop took place in the context that Vietnam is actively implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation; along with Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in education and training development. These two resolutions affirm that science and technology, education and training and international cooperation are three important pillars in Vietnam's national development strategy and deep international integration.

According to the Deputy Minister, the Ministry of Education and Training has identified a strategic orientation to build an education-science system closely linked to the goals of industrialization and modernization; improve the quality of research and application in key areas; and at the same time strongly transform university and postgraduate education into a driving force for innovation - a bridge between knowledge and production, between schools and businesses, encouraging students and lecturers to actively participate in international research, academic exchanges and practical application activities.

For students - the future generation of the country, the Deputy Minister expressed his hope that they will not only be knowledge recipients but also creators, innovators, start-up scientists, participating in and leading international cooperation projects.

In the chemical research community, coordination chemistry is one of the pioneering fields, playing an important role in the development of new materials, energy, environment and biomedicine.

In particular, the 2025 Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded to three scientists, Susumu Kitagawa, Richard Robson and Omar M. Yaghi, for their pioneering work in developing metal-organic frameworks (MOFs).

The conference attracted the participation of nearly 600 delegates from 24 countries and territories around the world.

Research and application of these materials opens up many opportunities for the Vietnamese coordination chemistry community to participate more deeply in the global value chain, not only in basic research but also in technology transfer, production of materials and solutions for industry, environment and medicine.

Deputy Minister Pham Ngoc Thuong affirmed that Vietnam's successful hosting of the 10th Asian Complexity Conference is a clear demonstration of the increasingly affirmed position of Vietnamese science in the international arena, while also demonstrating the strong organizational, cooperation and research capacity of domestic universities and research institutes.

Through the workshop, scientists and students will strengthen connections with international academic networks, form collaborative research projects and young research groups with high application potential, contributing to promoting the development of Vietnam's chemistry industry from research to production, from theory to practice.

The results and ideas shared at the workshop will open up many new research directions.

The results and ideas shared at the workshop will open up many new research directions, effective and sustainable cooperation and contribute to the strong development of Vietnam's chemical industry in the era of innovation and deep international integration.

The workshop focused on discussing modern research trends in the field of coordination chemistry through 12 thematic subcommittees including: Metal-organic framework compounds; electronic and magnetic complexes; complex catalysis; organometallic chemistry; inorganic biochemistry; luminescent complexes; complexes in medicine; supramolecular chemistry; multifunctional materials; sustainable chemistry and energy conversion; calculations and theories in coordination chemistry and chemistry of s, p, f block elements.

The conference attracted the participation of nearly 600 delegates from 24 countries and territories around the world, including 65 students and postgraduates presenting and exchanging academic knowledge, demonstrating the spirit of inheritance and development of the young generation of scientists in the field of coordination chemistry.
