At the end of the year, when people's shopping needs increase, smuggling, trade fraud (BLGLTM), and counterfeit production and trading are at risk of breaking out in a complicated manner. In this context, Market Management Team No. 8 (Quang Ninh Provincial Market Management Department) has proactively and synchronously deployed measures to stabilize the market, protect the rights of consumers and legitimate businesses.

The area under the management of Market Management Team No. 8 includes 10 communes: Tien Yen, Dong Ngu, Hai Lang, Dien Xa, Binh Lieu, Hoanh Mo, Luc Hon, Ba Che, Ky Thuong, Luong Minh. This is an area with many important traffic routes connecting the border area with the central area of ​​the province. This geographical feature not only creates favorable conditions for trade but also poses many risks of smuggled goods, counterfeit goods, and goods of unknown origin, especially at the end of the year.

According to the report of Market Management Team No. 8, since the beginning of the year, the commodity market in the area under the management of the unit has been basically stable; essential goods have met the demand, there has been no speculation, hoarding or unreasonable price increases. However, besides that, there are still potential acts of trading in goods of unknown origin, poor quality goods, violating food safety or price listing. In the first 10 months of 2025, 106 cases/112 violations were inspected, detected and handled, with a total value of violating goods and fines of more than 793 million VND. Not only stopping at inspection and punishment, the unit also focuses on propaganda and mobilization work. Since the beginning of the year, the unit has carried out hundreds of propaganda and dissemination of laws, reminded businesses to strictly comply with State regulations, and signed commitments not to trade in smuggled goods, counterfeit goods, and goods of unknown origin.

Promoting the achieved results, and at the same time to stabilize the market at the end of the year, Market Management Team No. 8 has proactively issued a peak plan to combat counterfeiting and fake goods before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2026. In particular, the Team focuses on synchronously implementing professional measures, strengthening market surveillance, conducting surprise inspections of business establishments; at the same time, closely coordinating with relevant functional forces and local authorities to promptly and effectively combat counterfeiting and fake goods, not allowing the formation of "hot spots".

The team also identified three key routes: Border road areas (Hoanh Mo, Binh Lieu, Luc Hon communes), sea - inland waterway routes (Dong Ngu, Hai Lang, Tien Yen) and domestic markets. Each area has specific officers in charge, ensuring close supervision, strict handling and not allowing the formation of "hot spots".

A notable point is the application of digital transformation in local management. All 2,728 business establishments under the management have been updated and managed on the online administrative violation handling system, helping to monitor and supervise quickly, transparently, and minimize administrative procedures.

Especially, in the conditions of large area and thin force, clear assignment, coupled with encouragement and motivation for cadres to overcome difficulties and strive to excellently complete assigned tasks.
