Protecting the border and landmarks is an important task that the Party Committee and the Command of Song Trang Border Guard Station always pay special attention to. In recent times, the unit has maintained good patrolling and control work, firmly protecting the border and landmarks assigned to manage.

Border patrol and border marker protection work is regularly maintained by Song Trang Border Guard Station.

Lieutenant Colonel Bui Ngoc Thiep - Political Commissar of Song Trang Border Guard Station said: In addition to patrolling and controlling, ensuring security and order in the border area, the unit also focuses on implementing well the work of protecting the border line and border markers.

Since the beginning of 2024, Song Trang Border Guard Station has coordinated with other forces to organize 148 border patrols and prevent illegal entry and exit, with 840 comrades participating; organized 43 mobile patrols in the area, with 242 comrades participating. In addition, the unit also coordinated with Ben Pho Border Guard Station and Thong Binh Border Guard Station ( Dong Thap Provincial Border Guard) to organize 40 patrols and control the adjacent border area, with 240 comrades participating; signed a plan to coordinate the management and protection of the border in the area adjacent to Thong Binh Border Guard Station.

In addition, the unit also coordinated with the border protection force on the opposite side to organize 04 bilateral patrols, with 160 participants. As a result, the border markers remained intact during the task of ensuring safety and strictly implementing foreign affairs regulations.

On the other hand, the unit also promotes propaganda for people living in border areas about the Law on National Borders; the Law on Vietnam Border Guard; the situation and results of demarcation and marker planting on the Vietnam - Cambodia land border... Mobilizing people to actively participate in the fight against crime, not to participate in smuggling, assisting and covering up smuggling, illegal entry and exit, human trafficking and not to participate in other illegal activities; participating in self-registration for security and order in border areas, self-management of border lines and national border markers. Thereby, helping people raise awareness and actively participate in implementation.
