At exactly 11:28 a.m. on April 30, the baby boy of the mother Nguyen Thi Hoai (born in 1994, Ky Bac commune, Ky Anh district) was welcomed home from the operating room by his family in an outburst of joy. Mr. Tran Hung (Hoai's husband) happily expressed: " After many days of waiting, the baby cried out at birth. The moment of welcoming the baby on the special day of the nation was truly meaningful. We felt both proud and emotional. Because the baby was born on the anniversary of the country's reunification, before going to the hospital, the family prepared the red flag with the yellow star to welcome the baby." Earlier, at 9am, the mother Ngo Thi Dung (born 1986, Cam My commune) also successfully gave birth to a baby girl weighing 3.4kg by natural birth. After giving birth, the health of both mother and baby were stable. Ms. Dung shared: "The family plans to name the child Hoang An Nhien with the hope that the child will always have a peaceful and happy life. The family thanks the doctors and medical staff for helping to have a "safe and sound mother and child". We will always remember this day and when the child grows up, we will tell him about the day he was born so that he will always be proud to have a very meaningful birthday."
Medical staff congratulated the mothers and their babies on their safe delivery and shared the joy and happiness with the families as they welcomed the babies into the world on the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification. After birth, the babies are placed on their mothers’ chests by medical staff using skin-to-skin contact to connect the love between mother and child.
