On the afternoon of September 15, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly visited and presented gifts to encourage people in flood-hit areas of Nho Quan and Gia Vien districts.
Also attending were comrade Dinh Viet Dung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Inspection Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; leaders of the Office of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation & People's Council, Nho Quan and Gia Vien districts.
Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh met, visited and presented gifts to some households in difficult circumstances affected by floods in Duc Long commune (Nho Quan district) and Gia Thinh commune (Gia Vien district).
Kindly visiting the circumstances and living conditions of families affected by floods, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly expressed sympathy, shared the difficulties, and encouraged the families to uphold their self-reliance and strive to overcome difficulties to soon stabilize their lives.
Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh also commended and highly appreciated the proactive and drastic measures taken by Ninh Binh province to prevent, combat and overcome consequences caused by floods.
In particular, local authorities have played a good role in providing food and medical supplies to people in flood-hit areas, thereby ensuring absolute safety for people's lives and minimizing property damage; households affected by storms and floods have also received timely attention and care, ensuring basic living conditions.
Presenting 100 million VND to Nho Quan and Gia Vien districts each to support people in flooded areas, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh requested local Party committees and authorities to continue to uphold their sense of responsibility, closely and promptly support people in restoring production, paying special attention to ensuring environmental sanitation and disease prevention, especially in flooded areas; continuing to pay attention to creating livelihoods for people; fully implementing support policies for people in difficult circumstances and vulnerable people affected by natural disasters, thereby helping households improve their lives.
