Dong Nai warns of the risk of flash floods and landslides in Tan Phu district

(DN)- On the evening of May 14, Dong Nai Hydrometeorological Station said that in the past 3 hours (from 3:20 p.m. to 6:20 p.m.), Tan Phu district had very heavy rain, in Dak Lua commune the rainfall reached 78mm.

Soil moisture model shows that some areas in Tan Phu district are nearly saturated or have reached near saturation (over 80%) or have reached saturation.

It is forecasted that in the next 6 hours, in Tan Phu district and neighboring areas, there will continue to be rain with accumulated rainfall ranging from 20-50mm, in some places over 60mm.

Warning of the risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes, and land subsidence in the above areas. Level of natural disaster risk due to flash floods, landslides, and land subsidence due to heavy rain or water flow: level 1.

Flash floods, landslides, and land subsidence caused by heavy rain or water flow threaten lives and property and cause local traffic congestion, affecting the movement of vehicles; destroy civil and economic works, causing damage to production, economic and social activities.
