Within the framework of the event, there will be an exhibition of unique ceramic art products, with high cultural and aesthetic values of Dong Nai fine art ceramics and famous domestic ceramic product lines such as: Thanh Ha-Quang Nam ceramics, Red ceramics-Vinh Long, Bau Truc-Binh Thuan ceramics, Binh Duong ceramics.
In addition, there is a discussion to find solutions to preserve and develop traditional pottery in the integration period; a logo design contest, brand identity for Bien Hoa - Dong Nai Traditional Pottery Festival; exchange activities between artisans and the public, helping to raise awareness of traditional artistic values.
This festival brings together 50 large hot air balloons, each capable of carrying 10-16 people. This is the largest hot air balloon festival ever in Vietnam with many unique activities. During the festival, the Organizing Committee will give out free tickets for people to experience flying.
Bien Hoa-Dong Nai pottery has a history of hundreds of years, famous domestically and internationally. This is the first time Dong Nai has organized a festival to honor, promote culture, preserve and develop the value of pottery.
After the Festival, the authorities hope to change public and business perceptions of ceramics.
Dong Nai has established Tan Hanh Ceramic Industrial Cluster with 50 hectares. Enterprises here are organized for methodical production, focusing on traditional ceramic lines for export and domestic consumption.
In the coming time, the province will organize educational activities to raise awareness about the value and aesthetics of Bien Hoa pottery for the public, especially the younger generation. The locality will develop tourism associated with this type of pottery.
According to the Dong Nai Fine Arts Ceramics Association, Bien Hoa-Dong Nai pottery was born in the mid-18th century and developed strongly from the late 19th century to the late 20th century.
Through many ups and downs, Bien Hoa-Dong Nai ceramics still affirm their position, directly exporting to more than 30 countries around the world.
Bien Hoa pottery is popular in the international market because its products are a blend of three types of Vietnamese, Chinese and Cham pottery.
The outstanding features of Bien Hoa pottery are black clay pottery and white clay pottery, glazed with elaborate patterns, used for decoration./.
