Dong Nai: Planning a 300ha Innovation Zone

On the afternoon of October 3, the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai province held a press conference to inform about the series of events "Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Festival of Dong Nai province in 2025" (known as Techfest Dong Nai in 2025).

Attending were Mr. Vo Hoang Khai, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, Mr. Nguyen Minh Quang, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, consulting units and reporters from local, central and Ho Chi Minh City newspapers and radio stations residing in Dong Nai .

Techfest Dong Nai 2025 has the theme: "Creative Runway - Dong Nai Takes Off", taking place from October 8 to 10 at the Dong Nai Provincial Convention and Event Center (Tan Trieu Ward) to celebrate National Innovation Day (October 1), National Digital Transformation Day (October 10) and celebrate the success of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, along with important socio -political events of the province.

The festival has more than 200 booths displaying and introducing technology products, innovative solutions, OCOP products and is expected to attract about 1,500 participants. Thereby, creating opportunities for connection and exchange between businesses and units inside and outside the province.

The festival also has a series of thematic seminars, focusing on important topics such as: Conference on implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW on developing science , technology, innovation and digital transformation for a sustainable Dong Nai development; conferences and seminars on promoting connections between 4 subjects: State - schools - businesses - investors; seminars on connecting technology supply and demand, commercializing science and technology products and calling for investment capital for start-up projects; seminars on traceability of products, goods and ESG (environment, society and governance) practice roadmap.

At the press conference, leaders of the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai province answered reporters' questions related to the theme of the festival, the implementation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW in Dong Nai, the implementation of digital government, two-level government, and the settlement of administrative procedures for people and businesses.

The leaders of the Department of Science and Technology also informed about the concentrated Information Technology Park of more than 100 hectares (formerly Long Thanh district) which is carrying out detailed planning procedures and has approved the establishment of a 1/2000 scale zoning plan for the 300-hectare Innovation Zone (Binh An commune), aiming to encourage businesses to invest in science and technology projects.

According to the Organizing Committee, Techfest Dong Nai 2025 will be a place to recognize the achievements in science and technology, digital transformation, startups and economic development of Dong Nai province and the Vietnamese business community. At the same time, it will provide an effective forum, connecting components in the innovation ecosystem, contributing to realizing the goal of developing the Southeast region into the leading innovation center in the country.
