Dong Thap develops tourism to ensure double-digit growth

DTO - The Provincial People's Committee has just issued a Plan to implement tasks and solutions for tourism development to ensure double-digit growth in Dong Thap province.

The plan aims to create a driving force for the development of other sectors and fields, actively and effectively contributing to the implementation of the province's economic growth target; concretize the plan to implement tasks according to the requirements of promoting tourism development in accordance with the practical conditions of the province, ensuring the completion of the set tourism development targets. Synchronously implement tasks and solutions to develop tourism into an important economic sector of the province in the coming time. At the same time, effectively implement the Tourism Stimulus Program in 2025, promoting the positioning of the tourism brand "Dong Thap - Pure as the Soul of Lotus". Ensure the successful implementation of the goal of welcoming 5 million visitors in 2025, an increase of 11.36% over the same period in 2024. Total tourism revenue reaches 2,416 billion VND, an increase of 11.34% over the same period in 2024.

The province's tourism development motto is "Unique products - professional services - convenient and simple procedures - Competitive prices - Clean and beautiful environment - Safe, civilized and friendly destinations".

In that spirit, the plan sets out 6 groups of tasks and solutions. Specifically, strengthening state management of tourism; promoting tourism promotion, proactively implementing the Tourism Development Stimulus Program in 2025 and the following years; diversifying typical tourism products; protecting the tourism environment, security, safety, friendliness and civilization; enhancing digital transformation, green transformation in tourism development; developing tourism human resources.
