With the desire to promote Ao Dai to the world , singer - travel blogger Doan Truong is carrying out the project "100/100". He said he has just completed a rare trip through 8 countries in the former Yugoslavia: Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Hungary, Albania and Slovenia.
In addition to taking and saving pictures in front of local symbols, the wearers themselves increasingly feel and understand more clearly the value and beauty of the ao dai.

Sharing with Thanh Nien , Doan Truong said: "I have had the opportunity to travel to many places around the world since I was young and have noticed that many countries always focus on bringing traditional costumes into tourism . In my opinion, each ao dai has a different cultural color expressed through typical motifs or famous landscapes of Vietnam. I have witnessed, been proud and moved when seeing many tourists around the world praising and admiring the special beauty of ao dai...".
The male artist also admitted that he feels most beautiful when wearing Ao Dai during festivals or when wearing this traditional costume when traveling around the world.

In his luggage for training trips, cultural exchanges, work trips and overseas travel, Doan Truong always reserves a compartment of love for Ao Dai. Up to now, he has explored 68 countries and 250 provinces and cities around the world. The next goal is to complete a photo series of 100 Ao Dai taken at natural wonders, famous landmarks, great architectural and artistic works of 100 countries. However, this artist and travel blogger does not dare to set a specific time frame because this is a long-term project, requiring 3 factors: financial ability, health and appropriate time.
Doan Truong said that on his recent trip, he also "wore" many ao dai in each country on the occasion of Vietnam's jubilant celebration of the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification.

According to Doan Truong, whether it is modernized or traditional, the ao dai is only truly beautiful when worn in the right situation. Men today wear ao dai quickly and conveniently, regardless of height, weight, body measurements, or pants or jeans. He is "very happy to see that wearing ao dai at famous places is becoming more and more popular among young people, especially men".
Doan Truong's "ambition" for Vietnamese Ao Dai
"With this '100/100' project, many designers are willing to tailor-make for me so that I can have beautiful and meaningful photo sets at famous landmarks. Because we all want to bring the beauty of the ao dai further and further on the world map," he confided, adding that many foreigners found it strange and unique so they asked to take photos with me, including local tour guides or tourists from other countries.

When wearing Ao Dai abroad, Doan Truong is always aware that he is a "tourism representative" for Vietnam, so he always maintains a neat image, speaks properly and behaves appropriately with the cultural customs of the host country. He also always brings cultural exchanges between countries by bringing with him the Vietnamese national flag, conical hats, scarves, Vietnamese coffee, models, refrigerator stickers with the sights of Notre Dame Cathedral, Ben Thanh Market, Ha Long Bay, One Pillar Pagoda, Hue Imperial City... as gifts for friends from all over the world or "wearing" the traditional costumes of the countries he passes through.
Doan Truong also has a collection of 150 national flags and international organizations such as the flags of the Red Cross, the United Nations, the European Union, the World Health Organization, the World Football Federation, etc.

Doan Truong wishes to bring Ao Dai on his upcoming trips to Kim Il Sung Square in North Korea, Cape of Good Hope in South Africa, Machu Picchu in Peru, Red Square in Russia, Niagara Falls on the US-Canada border, the world's highest pass of 5,602 m Kharung La, India, as well as the Himalayas, Nepal. He also has the "ambition" to bring Ao Dai to the North and South Poles. In Vietnam, he dreams of taking Ao Dai photos in Truong Sa archipelago and Son Doong cave, the largest cave on the planet.
"These are all very difficult places to take photos of Ao Dai, requiring meticulous planning. I hope the photo series will be completed smoothly and as soon as possible," he said. Doan Truong also hopes to set a Vietnamese record and have his own exhibition after completing this "100/100" project.
