Faced with the reality of many tragic fires and many fires caused by motorbikes and electric vehicles occurring nationwide, a research team of 3 students from Thuy Loi University and 2 students from Viet Duc High School, Hanoi, researched and invented a device to prevent fire and explosion of motorbikes and electric vehicles in families and apartment buildings. The project was highly appreciated, ranked first among 10 projects in the final round of the Startup Launchpad Competition in 2023, a competition under the project of the Hanoi Party Committee on "Promoting the development of science , technology and innovation in Hanoi in the period 2021 - 2025".
The SAFETY MOTO startup project is a fire prevention and fighting device for motorbikes and electric vehicles. This is a device to prevent and control the risk of fire and explosion, helping to protect motorbikes and electric vehicles from the possibility of fire and explosion. At the same time, SAFETY MOTO also sends a warning signal to the owner and people around. In case of fire, the device can immediately extinguish the fire through a fire sensor, an automatic fire extinguishing system, and an alarm. The project contributes to protecting the lives and safety of people and property.
According to Professor Dr. Vu Ngoc Thuong - lecturer of the Faculty of Mechanics at Thuy Loi University, the topic's instructor, the fire prevention device for motorbikes and electric vehicles is not only an effective tool to prevent fires and explosions but also brings peace of mind to vehicle owners. The automatic fire extinguishing and intelligent alarm feature enhances the ability to respond and manage emergency situations, bringing a new vision of safety in the field of personal and professional transportation. In addition, the device has been registered for patent at the Intellectual Property Office. This is a favorable condition for product development and business.
From the above facts, the SAFETY MOTO electric motorbike fire-proof equipment project won first prize in the 2023 Water Resources Student Startup Idea Competition.
The final round of the Startup Launchpad competition consists of 2 parts. In part 1, the teams will present their ideas, and the Organizing Committee will select the Top 3 best teams for part 2. In part 2, each team will have to answer the judges about the problems encountered in the process of starting a business, which are raised by a representative of an Investment Fund. The Organizing Committee will select the First, Second and Third teams according to the prize structure.
