Heavy rain forecast, 450mm in some places

QNgTV- In the past 24 hours, Quang Ngai province has had moderate to heavy rain; the area east of Truong Son has had heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms in some places. The average rainfall is from 50 - 150mm; in some places over 170mm such as: At Son Giang station (Son Linh commune) 187.0mm, Son Ha station (Son Ha commune) 178.4mm.

Heavy rain forecast, 450mm in some places

It is forecasted that from today until October 29, the Eastern Truong Son region will have heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms in some places with rainfall likely reaching from 150 - 350mm, in some places over 450mm.

The western Truong Son area has moderate rain, heavy rain, very heavy rain in some places and thunderstorms in some places with rainfall in the north of the area likely to reach from 80 - 180mm, in some places over 250mm. The remaining communes and wards have rain, moderate rain, heavy rain in some places with rainfall likely to reach from 20 - 50mm, in some places over 50mm.

Heavy rain is forecast to cause flooding in low-lying areas, urban and industrial areas; flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides on steep slopes.

During thunderstorms, beware of the possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. From October 30, heavy rains will gradually decrease and end this period of heavy rain.
