Recently, Tencent Video , the film investment, production and screening platform, officially announced its financial report for the first quarter of 2024. As expected, outstanding films such as "Phồn hoa" and "Du phuong hanh" contributed significantly to the platform's profits.
Accordingly, the movie "Phon hoa" by Ho Ca brought in a profit of 116 million NDT (about 416 billion VND). "Du phuong hanh" by Trieu Le Dinh - Lam Canh Tan was not far behind when it brought in 114 million NDT (about 409 billion VND).
This huge amount of money mainly comes from advertising contracts with brands during the time the show airs. In addition, viewers have to buy membership cards or upgrade to VIP membership to update the latest episodes, helping Tencent Video "earn" a significant amount.
According to the financial report of the Chinese media giant, the number of viewers who registered for membership and agreed to pay for the platform increased by 8% compared to the same period last year. This impressive number is largely due to outstanding films that have been popular on Chinese screens for a long time, such as "Du Phuong Hanh".
In addition to Tencent Video, "Phoenix" is also broadcast on Wetv, Mango TV, and Hunan TV. Although no official announcement has been made, many people speculate that these broadcasting platforms also receive a significant profit.
Hunan TV even organized a fireworks display lasting nearly 10 minutes to celebrate the success of the "Du Phuong Hanh" film crew. This is a rare event in the history of a TV station, usually only to celebrate the station's founding anniversary or important events.
