Draft documents of the 14th Congress: Pay attention to comprehensive development of ethnic minority areas

According to many people in Lai Chau province, the draft documents of the 14th Party Congress need to propose policies to focus more on investment in ethnic minority areas, especially transportation, to achieve breakthrough development.

Towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, the contribution of opinions to draft documents submitted to the Congress is highly valued by the people of all ethnic groups in Lai Chau province.

People want opinions from the grassroots to be heard by the Congress in order to make appropriate decisions.

The people of Lai Chau ethnic groups have more confidence in the leadership of the Party and State when devoting many resources to developing ethnic minority areas.

According to him, the 14th Party Congress needs to propose policies to focus more on investment in ethnic minority areas, especially transport infrastructure with key projects so that mountainous areas like Lai Chau can develop dramatically, and enter a new era with the whole country.

The 15th Congress of Lai Chau Provincial Delegates, term 2025-2030, identified 3 breakthroughs. These are breakthroughs in transport infrastructure, logistics, ensuring convenient connection between Lai Chau and economic axes and regions in the region, intra-regional transport, border commune roads; breakthroughs in developing commodity agriculture, medicinal herbs and green economy, focusing on developing medicinal plants, high-quality temperate fruit trees into key products, linking agriculture with tourism, OCOP, circular economy; breakthroughs in improving the quality of human resources, developing science, technology and digital transformation.

War invalid Nguyen Van Dung said he is very interested in breakthroughs in transport infrastructure. This term, Lai Chau has set a goal to start construction of many large projects such as the Khau Co tunnel, Hoang Lien tunnel, upgrading National Highway 4D from Hoang Lien tunnel to Phong Tho commune, building the CT13 Bao Ha-Lai Chau expressway, and Lai Chau airport.

These projects, when completed, will be the key for Lai Chau to connect with the lowlands and develop strongly. At that time, traffic, goods, agricultural products, etc. will be transported quickly, helping Lai Chau people in many ways.

Mr. Vang A Chinh, Head of Sin Suoi Ho village, Sin Suoi Ho commune, affirmed that he believes the 14th National Party Congress will be an important milestone, helping the country continue to make strong breakthroughs.

The draft Political Report submitted to the 14th National Party Congress has key tasks such as: Building and developing an advanced Vietnamese culture, imbued with national identity, synchronous on the foundation of the national value system, cultural value system, family value system and Vietnamese human standards.

In recent years, Sin Suoi Ho community tourism site has become one of the most attractive destinations in Southeast Asia. The success of a poor village is thanks to the people and local authorities who have preserved and promoted the cultural identity of the Mong ethnic group. This is the foundation for Sin Suoi Ho to develop tourism, create a green ecosystem, and help the Mong people here to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty.

Village Chief Vang A Chinh hopes that the Party and State will continue to propose stronger and more comprehensive policies and investment resources to develop ethnic minority areas.

Implement well the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2030 period, so that people can change their thinking and working methods, and apply modern technology and utilities to the lives of highland villages.

With more than 20 ethnic groups living on the border land of Lai Chau, each ethnic group has different colors and cultures. To preserve and promote those values, Lai Chau province has issued many resolutions and good practices with the efforts and perseverance of the residential communities.

Many festivals and customs of the Thai, Mong, Dao, Ha Nhi... have been restored and well maintained, becoming annual destinations for tourists from all regions, highlighting the diverse and rich cultural colors of the Lai Chau ethnic community.

As a researcher with deep understanding of Thai ethnic culture in Lai Chau, Meritorious Artisan Nong Van Nao in Phong Tho commune said that building and developing an advanced Vietnamese culture with strong national identity is a very important task.

Our country has 54 ethnic groups, united and attached from ancient times to the present. Under the leadership of the Party and State, the lives of ethnic people are getting better and better, and their cultural and spiritual life is being raised.

According to Mr. Nong Van Nao, the task of "Building and developing an advanced Vietnamese culture, imbued with national identity, synchronously on the basis of the national value system, cultural value system, family value system and Vietnamese human standards" is included in the core task in the Draft Political Report submitted to the 14th National Party Congress is very correct. Especially, for ethnic minority areas, it is necessary to implement synchronously and closely at the grassroots level so that the culture and spiritual life of ethnic groups become increasingly rich and healthy.

Practical contributions from the grassroots and the people to the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress demonstrate enthusiasm, responsibility and belief in the future of the country.
