Special fields require special processes

GAET Corporation is one of the two focal points of the country and the only unit of the Ministry of National Defense that is allowed to trade and supply explosive materials produced by factories in the General Department of Defense Industry. The VLNCN Company is directly assigned to carry out this task. As a unit licensed by the competent authority to provide blasting services nationwide, since April 2005, the Company has implemented drilling and blasting services, opening a new field of the unit, contributing to increasing the consumption of explosive materials and enhancing its reputation and brand. In particular, since 2015, the Company has expanded its activities to provide full-package blasting and drilling services and by 2018 applied them to all business units, bringing this service to a new level.

Over the years, the VLNCN Company has successfully implemented the task of supplying VLNCN, performing blasting services for traffic works, irrigation, hydropower, mineral exploitation, construction materials and contributing to building a solid defense zone for sea works, islands, national defense reserves, national reserves. Some typical works such as: Hai Van Pass Tunnel, Ho Chi Minh Road, hydropower works: Son La, Dong Nai 3, Dong Nai 4, Song Tranh- Quang Nam , Serepok 3, Buon Tua Srah, Buon Kuop-Dak Lak...

Providing blasting services at Nam Trang Bach mine (Quang Ninh) is one of the typical projects recently of VLNCN Company, which is constructed in the form of complete blasting. In the face of strict requirements of the blasting process, Lieutenant Colonel Vu Le Linh, Party Secretary, Deputy Director of VLNCN Company emphasized that the Company's leaders and commanders always strictly comply with the provisions of the law on safety in the business of VLNCN, strictly implement the blasting construction process at the mine, ensuring absolute safety.

In response to the requirements of national defense and security tasks and key national projects and works, the Party Committee and the command of the VLNCN Company have proposed specific measures, closely related to the unit's characteristics and tasks, effectively leading business activities, developing the market and consumption market share, focusing on implementing full-package blasting and drilling services. In which, drilling and blasting services, full-package blasting and high-tech blasting are identified as the spearhead direction of the unit.

Breakthrough in high-tech blasting

Boldly breaking into the field of high-tech blasting has brought "sweet fruits" to the VLNCN Company. Typical examples are underwater blasting technology, including the dredging and rock breaking of the water area in front of the wharf at the Hoa Phat Iron and Steel Production Complex project (Dung Quat, Quang Ngai). The blasting area at the project is very close to the operating wharves, so it requires high expertise and blasting techniques, close and smooth coordination between the blasting commander, the blasters and the divers. The Company's leaders and commanders always closely monitor and directly instruct the working group to carry out blasting in absolute safety, ensuring technical standards. The successful implementation of the project not only brings high economic efficiency but also has great significance in building the brand of underwater blasting for the unit.

In addition, there are many other typical projects and works such as: Underwater blasting project at Son Duong deep-water port (Ha Tinh); blasting and rock breaking project at the obstacle clearance project on Lo river... These are major projects, marking a breakthrough in high-quality blasting development of VLNCN Company and marking it as the only unit in Vietnam today implementing underwater blasting technology. Along with that, the Company promotes the implementation of underground blasting services, a type of service that is not new but requires understanding of law and technology, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, and absolute safety of construction.

Continue to affirm prestige in the oil and gas sector

In addition to its strengths in blasting services, complete blasting drilling and high-tech blasting, VLNCN Company focuses on developing, constantly improving service quality, affirming its brand and reputation in the oil and gas sector. Sharing about this orientation, Colonel, Dr. Hoang Quoc Mau, Director of VLNCN Company said that in recent years, the Company has made breakthroughs and become a reliable partner of the oil and gas industry; actively following a number of major projects of the Vietnam National Energy Industry Group (Petrovietnam), effectively implementing the import and supply of VLNCN and related services for many projects, meeting the requirements of progress and quality.
