
On October 27, at the Presidential Palace in Cairo, Egypt, Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong presented the Letter of Credentials from President Luong Cuong to President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi, officially beginning his term of office in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
At the ceremony, Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong respectfully conveyed the regards and best wishes of President Luong Cuong to President El-Sisi, the government and people of Egypt; at the same time, expressed his determination to strengthen the development of relations between the two countries, especially focusing on implementing the results of President Luong Cuong's state visit to Egypt in August 2025, which upgraded the framework of relations to Comprehensive Partnership.
Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong said that the upgrading of the bilateral relationship framework to Comprehensive Partnership in August 2025 reflects the stature of the bilateral relationship in the new period, establishing higher political trust at all levels; expanding the scale and level of cooperation in a more comprehensive, substantive and profound direction in all fields.
Along with that, upgrading the framework of relations to the Vietnam-Egypt Comprehensive Partnership also promotes and strengthens new cooperation mechanisms on the basis of respecting international law, independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity and political systems of each country.
To realize the vision of the Comprehensive Partnership, the two countries agreed to promote cooperation in key areas such as politics-security, economics, agriculture, science and technology, etc.
Egyptian President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi congratulated Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong on his new assignment, expressing his good impression and feelings for the country and people of Vietnam.
President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi said that the State and he personally highly appreciated the developments in relations between the two countries in recent times and affirmed that he will pay special attention to promoting the Vietnam-Egypt relationship to develop even stronger.
