Duc Trong: Deploying socio-economic tasks for the last 6 months of 2023

(LĐ online) - On June 1, the People's Committee of Duc Trong district held a meeting to evaluate the implementation of socio -economic tasks in the first 6 months of the year (December 2022 to May 2023) and deploy socio-economic tasks for the last 6 months of 2023. According to the report, in the first 6 months of this year, the People's Committee of Duc Trong district has closely followed the tasks and promptly concretized the tasks, solutions, and directed the management in accordance with the conditions and actual situation of the locality, along with the efforts of all levels, sectors and people in the district to focus on stabilizing the economy and ensuring social security.
Results of implementation of some main targets: Agriculture , forestry and fishery sector: estimated to achieve 3,214 billion VND, reaching 38.4% of the plan, up 6.1% over the same period; Industry sector in general estimated to achieve 2,779.3 billion VND, reaching 54.5% of the plan, up 7.7% over the same period; Construction sector estimated to achieve 2,635 billion VND, reaching 50.2% of the plan, up 8.9% over the same period; Trade - Service sector estimated to achieve 3,695 billion VND, reaching 51.68% of the plan, up 10.13% over the same period. The state budget revenue in the first 6 months managed by the district is estimated at 451 billion VND, reaching 37% of the assigned estimate, equal to 68% over the same period, creating new jobs for 3,875 workers in the district, reaching 86.11% of the 2023 plan; the rate of participation in universal health insurance reached 83%...
At the same time, the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic continued to be focused on, social security, taking care of people's lives and health were ensured, cultural and sports activities were well organized according to the set plan; fire prevention and control work was well implemented, no forest fires occurred causing damage to forest resources.
The defense and security sectors in the area have been maintained stably. Administrative reform, judicial reform and anti-corruption have been vigorously implemented. Traffic accidents have been basically controlled and decreased compared to the same period in 2022...
In addition to the achieved results, there are still some shortcomings and limitations such as: Some violations of the Forestry Law still occur in the area; the budget collection work managed by the district and the disbursement of public investment capital are still lower than planned. The implementation of the dossier preparation for afforestation, intercropping of forestry trees and scattered trees in 2022 is still slow compared to the set plan.
On the other hand, although the work of clearing encroachments on road traffic safety corridors and urban beautification has been focused on, re-encroachment still occurs. The implementation of compensation and site clearance for some projects is still slower than planned, such as: Ta Hoet Reservoir Project, Fi Nom Residential Area and Market Infrastructure Project; the work of mobilizing people to donate land for construction projects has encountered many difficulties and the work of auctioning land use rights is still slower than planned...
The conference spent a lot of time for delegates to discuss and propose solutions to complete and exceed the targets for the last 6 months of the year. In particular, the People's Committee of Duc Trong district assigned departments and units under the district, People's Committees of communes and towns to review and evaluate assigned targets and tasks, propose directions and plans to concentrate resources to effectively implement and complete socio-economic development tasks in 2023.
At the same time, ensure agricultural production progress according to plan and season; focus on developing high-tech, organic and smart agriculture. Implement well the work of preventing and controlling diseases on crops and livestock, controlling slaughter, and checking veterinary hygiene; continue to strengthen forest management and protection, fire prevention and fighting; clear illegal crops and constructions on forestry land according to Inspection Conclusion No. 2094/KL-UBND dated April 13, 2020 of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee and newly encroached forest land areas.
At the same time, strictly implement the tasks and solutions for budget collection; strengthen tax collection management, prevent tax losses and arrears. Speed up the progress of preparing documents and procedures for auctioning land use rights and land leases to submit to competent authorities for approval. Units assigned to be investors must resolutely and synchronously implement solutions to speed up the progress of implementation and disbursement of public investment capital, ensuring that the disbursement rate of public investment capital in 6 months reaches over 50%, in 9 months reaches over 70% and in 2023 reaches over 95%. Speed up the progress of investment procedures, compensation for site clearance, construction, acceptance, and disbursement as soon as there is a volume of works and projects in the district...
