Ducati New Desmo 450 MX - "king of the grasshoppers" priced at 373 million VND

Currently, the detailed specifications of the new Ducati Desmo 450 MX 2026 have also been fully revealed. The vehicle will be equipped with a single-cylinder engine, 449.6cc capacity, using the Desmodromic valve system - a familiar technology on many Ducati models.

New technology on the Ducati Desmo 450 MX 2026 dirt bike includes the Desmosedici GP racing bike currently used by Marc Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia in the current MotoGP.

The new engine produces 62 horsepower at 9,400 rpm and 53.5 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. The redline is 11,900 rpm, and Ducati claims this is a new standard in the off-road segment.

With a bore and stroke of 96 x 62.1 mm, Ducati uses 40 mm diameter intake valves made of titanium and 33 mm diameter exhaust valves machined from special high-temperature resistant steel.

The Desmo 450 MX's frame is an aluminum front-end frame, designed to keep the bike as light as possible while allowing for optimal intake and exhaust airflow.

The weight without fluids is 104.8 kg, which is quite light for the segment. The frame consists of only 11 parts, less than half of the competitors on the market. These parts are manufactured using modern casting, forging and rolling technologies.

The suspension of the Desmo 450 MX comes from the Showa brand. The front fork is an upside-down type, 49 mm in diameter, fully adjustable with 310 mm of travel, coated with Kashima anti-friction coating. The rear shock also has similar adjustability, with 301 mm of travel.

Regarding the braking system, the Desmo 450 MX uses a Brembo braking system with 2-piston front disc brakes and 1-piston rear disc brakes. The brake discs are branded Galfer, with 260 mm diameter front discs and 240 mm rear discs.

In addition, the Desmo 450 MX is also integrated with a series of modern electronic equipment with: Launch Control, Engine Brake Control - the level of intervention can be adjusted. The vehicle is also integrated with two customizable driving modes through the X-Link application and includes a Quickshifter.

The bike is expected to be officially launched in the European market next June, with the price of the Ducati New Desmo 450 MX at around 11,245 pounds (equivalent to 373 million VND). This is considered a reasonable price compared to what this offroad motorcycle is equipped with and from the brand value of Ducati.
