Spring Flower Street in Dong Thap impresses with majestic dragon mascot

With the theme " Dong Thap Sen Hong, Pioneer Breakthrough", the Spring Flower Street of Cao Lanh City (Dong Thap) creates a joyful atmosphere on the occasion of Lunar New Year.

On the evening of February 7, Dong Thap province held the opening ceremony of the Giap Thin Spring Flower Street 2024. This year's Spring Flower Street is beautifully designed by the harmonious combination of natural elements and a unique lighting system. In addition, the content of the flower street is also invested with cultural and historical depth. Specifically, this year's Spring Flower Street is designed with 02 chapters. Chapter I includes: Pink Lotus Identity and Pioneering Breakthrough.

Regarding the Red Lotus Identity, it recreates typical images of the land reclamation and cultural characteristics of the province. It includes the design and decoration of many beautiful scenes such as: The story of "Dragon's descendants" expressing the honor of the national origin, the Dragon - Fairy race of the Vietnamese people in general, Dong Thap in particular. In parallel, there are also Spring flavor themes introducing Dong Thap cuisine formed on the basis of the unique natural conditions of the Southern region; Southern folk music inspired by Southern folk music - a unique art form of the floating region.

In particular, the content of “The Land of Prosperity” is inspired by the living scene in the long-standing weaving village of Long Khanh - where the checkered scarf is woven, a symbol associated with the people of the Red Lotus land, which has just been recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Chapter II, including topics such as: Where the Cranes Return to Their Source, designed with a flock of red-crowned cranes - a rare bird species currently preserved in Tram Chim National Park of Dong Thap, flying gracefully interwoven with the typical Western chopstick flowers.

The next content is “High-tech agriculture”, highlighting agriculture, as an important pillar of Dong Thap’s economy . Particularly, the content “Spring convergence” has the image of two dragon mascots facing the moon, their bodies winding in 12 segments, representing submission, implying spiritual power.

More specifically, to make this year's Spring more brilliant, Cao Lanh City also launched a 40,000m2 Spring Flower Garden with many types of ornamental plants and flowers planted in Ngo Thoi Nham Park to attract tourists to visit and take souvenir photos on the occasion of Tet.

And the highlight of the entire Spring Flower Street this year is the dragon mascot, the symbol of the Year of the Dragon 2024. The dragon appears majestic and majestic, designed with inspiration from the Vietnamese dragon in folklore. The mascot has two main colors, yellow and orange, dotted with clusters of brilliant lotus flowers. This is not only a visual language to welcome visitors, but also represents a strong will and a new year full of national spirit, turning the country into a dragon.
