On February 21st, which is the 12th day of the first lunar month, the Lim Festival officially opens. The festival takes place in three communes that were formerly part of the Noi Due district, now Lim town, Noi Due commune, and Lien Bao commune.
The festival's centerpiece is Hong Van Mountain (Lim Mountain) in Lim town, Tien Du district, Bac Ninh province.
Following the opening ceremony at Hong An Pagoda (Lim town) at 8 am, the festival officially begins.
Besides organizing Quan Ho folk singing performances at 12 Quan Ho huts, traditional folk games such as card games, swing games, traditional wrestling, and pot smashing were also held.
In addition, there are traditional Quan Ho folk singing sessions held at Quan Ho performance houses in the villages of the region.
Of the 12 campsites, the most popular is the children's club in Lo Bao village (Noi Due commune), because it brings together young folk singers.
Each performance ended with enthusiastic applause from the audience.
5-year-old girl's Quan Ho folk singing becomes a sensation at the Lim Festival.
Particularly during the interactive session, little Khanh Ngoc (from Lim town) volunteered to sing two songs: " Entering the Temple " and "Ly Cay Da" .
Dressed in the traditional attire of a Quan Ho folk singer, with her petite figure, when little Ngoc began to sing, many people were delighted and amazed by her cuteness.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hai (63 years old, Khanh Ngoc's grandfather) recounted that because Khanh Ngoc loved Quan Ho folk singing, he often took her to learn to sing at the Provincial Children's Cultural Palace.
My granddaughter has been studying for two years now. Although her voice hasn't broken yet, she has grasped the basic style of singing and performing.
