Vietcombank spreads love, brings a warm Tet to families in difficult circumstances

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024 (Year of the Dragon), the Vietcombank Trade Union launched a campaign for employees to join hands in supporting the poor and received a positive response from 100% of employees throughout the system, who voluntarily contributed at least one day's salary to spread love and bring a warm Tet holiday to disadvantaged families across the country.
Implementing the national program on sustainable poverty reduction and responding to the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - no one left behind," throughout its more than 60-year journey of development and growth, the leadership and staff of Vietnam Foreign Trade Commercial Bank (Vietcombank) have implemented many meaningful social welfare programs, providing practical support to the poor to stabilize their lives and strive to improve their lives, upholding the responsibility of the enterprise to the community, and spreading the humanitarian values ​​of Vietcombank.

"It has become a tradition that, alongside maintaining effective business operations, Vietcombank always dedicates special attention, passion, and practical contributions to social welfare. Actively participating in social welfare programs not only demonstrates Vietcombank's responsibility to the community but also reflects the shared aspiration of all Vietcombank employees to share with localities and disadvantaged circumstances nationwide, especially during the Lunar New Year, aiming for the noble and humane goal of 'ensuring no one is left behind during Tet'; always upholding social responsibility through the overarching goal of becoming a Green bank, developing sustainably for the community," shared Mr. Hong Quang, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor , Member of the Board of Directors, and Chairman of the Vietcombank Trade Union.

In conjunction with the "Joining Hands to Support the Poor" program launched by the Vietcombank Trade Union, during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon 2024, Vietcombank branches nationwide organized meaningful social welfare activities to care for the Tet holiday, such as: visiting and giving gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; mobilizing businesses to jointly donate gifts to poor households and policy beneficiary families to celebrate Tet; donating solidarity houses, houses of compassion, and houses of love to particularly disadvantaged households, supporting localities in poverty alleviation; giving gifts to poor students who overcome difficulties, to patients receiving treatment at hospitals; giving Tet newspapers to soldiers on duty at border and island areas…;
