HAGL has 2 members named in the Vietnamese team that will win the AFF Cup 2024, including goalkeeper Tran Trung Kien and midfielder Chau Ngoc Quang. Of these 2 players, Chau Ngoc Quang played very well in both matches of the final of the Southeast Asian Football Championship against Thailand, contributing greatly to the victory of the team under coach Kim Sang-sik.
Will Chau Ngoc Quang help HAGL thrive in the near future?
HAGL hopes that Chau Ngoc Quang will bring back the form and confidence he had during his time playing for the Vietnam national team to serve the mountain town team. HAGL currently does not have many stars, players like Chau Ngoc Quang, Tran Minh Vuong, and even young goalkeeper Tran Trung Kien are very important in the tactical scheme of Technical Director (GĐKT) Vu Tien Thanh.
They will bring their talent and experience from their playing days at higher levels, creating a better backbone for HAGL Club.
HAGL comes back to life
In addition, since HAGL currently does not have many stars in the squad, the recent decision of FIFA has become extremely important for the mountain town football team. The World Football Federation yesterday (January 14, Vietnam time) officially announced the removal of the international and domestic transfer ban on HAGL Club.
After resolving the dispute with player Martin Dzilah, HAGL's transfer ban was lifted by FIFA.
In terms of expertise, from now on, HAGL will be able to add more domestic and foreign players, if they deem it necessary, and if the deadline for adding and replacing HAGL players is still within the transfer timeframe of the V-League (currently, the mid-season transfer period of 2024-2025 is still a few days away from ending).
In the days before the V-League 2024-2025 was suspended so that the Vietnamese team could focus on the AFF Cup 2024, not long ago, HAGL encountered many difficulties in the domestic tournament, mainly because their playing style was gradually being figured out and they did not have the conditions to add more players. Now, everything has changed, HAGL can completely find new factors if they want. New people can lead to a new playing style, helping HAGL no longer be controlled by opponents.
Mentally, the entire HAGL team, since the FIFA transfer ban was lifted, will no longer be as worried about injuries as before. At least, from now on, if HAGL loses players due to injury, they will have the means to find replacements.
Benefiting both professionally and mentally, HAGL hopes to thrive in the new year 2025. They hope to play well in the V-League, contributing to the attraction of this tournament (HAGL is one of the most admired clubs in the country), as well as discovering more domestic talents for Vietnamese football, as they have done over the past time.
