Nearly 5.7 million visitors to Quang Ninh in the first quarter of 2025

According to information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in the first quarter of 2025, Quang Ninh province welcomed nearly 5.7 million visitors, an increase of 6% over the same period in 2024 and an increase of 3% compared to the 2025 plan. Of which, domestic visitors reached about 4.5 million, international visitors were estimated at nearly 1.2 million. Total tourism revenue is estimated at 13,200 billion VND.

In recent times, Quang Ninh has not only focused on increasing the number of visitors but also on the quality of tourism. Along with the traditional products that have created the brand for Quang Ninh tourism, the province is currently focusing on innovating tourism products towards high quality, competitiveness, promoting the advantages of Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay to strongly exploit the luxury segment with high spending to increase tourism revenue.

It is expected that in the second quarter of 2025, the tourism industry will aim to welcome 5.3 million visitors. Total tourism revenue is estimated at 14,720 billion VND. To renew tourism products as well as attract visitors to Quang Ninh, the province will organize a total of 50 programs and events, including 20 programs, events, and activities to stimulate international, national and provincial tourism.

Cruise passengers are eager to visit Ha Long.

In particular, during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, 11 typical events will take place: Ha Long Carnival 2025, Bach Dang Traditional Festival, Quang Ninh Ethnic Culture Festival 2025, National Excellent Archery Championship, Aqua Warriors HaLong Bay 2025, Quang Ninh OCOP Fair - Summer 2025, Beer and Squid Cake Festival, Motorized Kite and Paragliding Festival, Ha Long City Lion and Dragon Festival, Uong Bi Summer Welcome Program, Organizing Mong Cai tourism activities "Imprints of the Fatherland's Headland" in 2025.
