Not simply a program or promotional activity, “Tran Bien Go - Discover Tran Bien” also demonstrates the spirit of innovation, international integration as well as promoting historical and cultural values and national pride of the members and youth of Tran Bien ward.

Initiative to link digital transformation with culture

Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, Secretary of the Tran Bien Ward Youth Union Bui Thi Khanh Linh said: “Tran Bien Go - Discover Tran Bien” is an initiative associated with digital transformation and experiential tourism . This is one of the activities in a series of programs to digitize red addresses in bilingual, combined with free relic explanations at 12 national-level historical and cultural relic sites in the ward.

“This is a concrete step by the youth of Tran Bien ward in applying technology to preserve and promote local cultural values. Thereby, creating an environment for union members, youth, and young Gen Z groups to have the opportunity to study, exchange, and contribute to implementing the motto "Youth pioneers in digital transformation and international integration" - Ms. Khanh Linh emphasized.

Accordingly, each time a group of foreign tourists contacts the Ward Youth Union, the unit will send 3-5 youth union members, depending on the number of registered tourists, to "transform" into local tour guides, thereby introducing and promoting historical and cultural relics and local cultural and culinary experiences to tourists.

Currently, the Ward Youth Union has been actively building its own QR codes to digitize 12 national historical and cultural relic sites and sites in the ward in bilingual so that people and tourists can easily look up detailed information, view images/videos, location maps, or register to receive free interpretation support.

In addition, the ward Youth Union also assigned a group of dynamic youth union members, well-trained in interpreting skills, ready to accompany domestic and international tourists when they have the opportunity to visit Tran Bien. "Transforming" into local tour guides has created an ideal environment for youth union members to learn and have interesting practical experiences.

Ms. Tran Nhu Nhu, member of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Tran Bien Ward, Secretary of the Thanh Binh Ward Youth Union, a member directly involved in guiding tourist groups, said: Realizing the tourism potential of Tran Bien Ward with many historical and cultural relics and being a land rich in traditional values, but lacking a team of professional tour guides and experience tours. Therefore, the youth project "Tran Bien Go - Discover Tran Bien" was born to help union members and young people apply technology and change their youthful approach to introduce the relics and traditional cultural values of Tran Bien in a more vivid and attractive way to tourists. "Tran Bien Go" will fill the gap of a professional "discovery tour" in Tran Bien, turning the cherished dream of introducing local relics into reality.

“As a pioneering, dynamic young force, each member and youth of Tran Bien ward is not only a “tour guide” but also a young ambassador of local culture and history. Through that, we hope to promote Tran Bien as a safe, friendly destination, and at the same time a unique highlight on the tourist map, attracting domestic and foreign tourists, contributing to the overall development of the province” - Ms. Nhu Nhu expressed.

Promoting the role of union members and youth in the integration period

Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, Secretary of the Tran Bien Ward Youth Union Bui Thi Khanh Linh added: With creativity, application of technology and pioneering spirit of youth, the project "Tran Bien Go - Discover Tran Bien" is a vivid proof of the role of union members and youth - global citizens - in preserving and promoting heritage values.

This November, Tran Bien Ward Youth Union organized activities to explain and introduce to Korean tourists about cultural relics and sites, and enjoy typical local cuisine.

In their rustic conical hats and scarves, the youth union members confidently introduced the history of the formation of the Tran Bien Temple of Literature - the "first school of the South", a place that honors the tradition of studiousness since the 17th century.

Next, the delegation visited Tan Lan Communal House - one of the typical ancient communal houses of Tran Bien Ward. Here, the youth union members introduced to visitors the process of formation, restoration and preservation of the relic along with cultural stories associated with the Dong Nai River and local people.

What makes “Tran Bien Go” so attractive is the smooth combination of heritage and local cultural experiences. The group of young people not only takes tourists to explore Tran Bien Temple of Literature or Tan Lan Communal House but also takes them deep into the daily lives of local people. There, tourists can visit Bien Hoa market, Nguyen Van Tri riverside park, and experience making and enjoying the famous “filter coffee” in Bien Hoa market area for more than half a decade.

Through the English commentary, the group of young people helped visitors understand more about the architecture and cultural values of the relic, while also conveying the spirit of national pride and hospitality of the Tran Bien people. The group of young people left a good impression, so that the visit was not only a trip to learn about history, but also a warm and friendly cultural experience.

Mr. Kang, a Korean tourist who joined the Tran Bien Go group in November, shared: “We are very grateful to the young people of Tran Bien ward for taking the time to guide us and take us to visit typical local destinations such as Tran Bien Temple of Literature and Tan Lan Communal House, which have been formed and built through many historical ups and downs. In particular, our group was very excited to enjoy filter coffee with its extremely special and wonderful flavor. We really enjoyed and enjoyed the experience with the young people.”

Ms. Nhu Nhu said: When directly leading the tour, the members and young people learn more from the tourists, from their views on local history and culture, and international cultural exchange. This activity also creates conditions for members to meet, experience reality, strengthen the connection and sense of responsibility to the community.

"Joining Tran Bien Go is a great opportunity for us to develop ourselves comprehensively. We are trained in communication and presentation skills in front of crowds. When interacting with international tourists, we have the opportunity to practice and improve our foreign language skills, which is an extremely important asset in the integration period" - Ms. Nhu Nhu shared.
