Silver prices today, December 15th: World silver prices remain above $62/ounce, while domestic silver prices are stable after a strong upward trend since the beginning of the year.

World silver prices opened the week with a slight increase.

On the morning of December 15th, the spot price of silver in the Asian market opened at $62.01 per ounce. After more than 30 minutes of trading, at 6:35 AM Hanoi time, the price of silver edged up to $62.04 per ounce, an increase of $0.03 compared to the beginning of the session.

Since the beginning of the year, the price of silver has increased by 114%, becoming one of the most prominent gains among precious metals. Last week alone, silver reached four consecutive new highs before undergoing a slight correction at the end of the week amid increased short-term profit-taking.

The volume and open interest in silver futures continued to surge, reaching approximately 180,000 contracts, a rare high for the period leading up to the holiday season.

Some experts believe that once silver prices surpass $60 per ounce, the upward momentum may gradually narrow, and the $70 per ounce level will become a significant resistance point in the short term.

Phu Quy silver prices remain stable in line with the market.

In the domestic market, on the morning of December 15th, the price of Phu Quy silver was listed at 2.329 million VND/ounce for buying and 2.401 million VND/ounce for selling. This price remained unchanged from the previous session, with the buy-sell spread remaining at approximately 75,000 VND/ounce.

For Phu Quy silver (1kg), the buying price is 62.106 million VND/kg and the selling price is 64.026 million VND/kg. Compared to the previous session, the price remains unchanged, with a buy-sell spread of 1.920 million VND/kg.

Sacombank 's Kim Phuc Loc SBJ silver bars are listed at 2.385 million VND/ounce for buying and 2.442 million VND/ounce for selling, with no new changes.

At Ancarat Precious Metals Company, Ancarat 999 silver bars are listed at 2.329 million VND/ounce for buying and 2.386 million VND/ounce for selling.

Ancarat 999 silver bars (1kg) maintained a buying price of 61.266 million VND/kg and a selling price of 63.126 million VND/kg, reflecting the stable state of the domestic silver market.
