At the end of the trading session early this morning (May 1) on the London - UK floor, Robusta coffee prices increased from 1.01% - 1.34%; on the New York - US floor, Arabica coffee prices increased slightly from 0.24% - 0.47%.

The highest Robusta coffee price was for July 2025 delivery, up to 5,369 USD/ton, an increase of 71 USD/ton; for January 2026 delivery, up to 5,155 USD/ton, an increase of 53 USD/ton.

The highest Arabica price was also for delivery in July 2025, up to 8,840 USD/ton, an increase of 20 USD/ton.

The domestic coffee market is on holiday, temporarily anchoring prices at 130,800 VND/kg, with sluggish transactions.

Mr. Luan said that after arriving at the port, the shipment of instant coffee products with flavors such as sea salt, taro, coconut, mint, etc. was delivered to nearly 50% of markets and supermarkets, showing the appeal of the product after about 3 years of Meet More's efforts to penetrate.

Through the process of patiently inviting customers to try, Meet More has adjusted the flavor to suit the tastes of each market. Currently, Meet More's sea salt and coconut coffee is the best-selling in Australia. In addition to being distributed in Vietnamese markets, the product has begun to penetrate local supermarkets, opening up a larger market in the land of kangaroos.

According to the Import-Export Department - Ministry of Industry and Trade , in the first quarter of 2025, Australia is the third largest coffee import market of Vietnam with an output of 35,248 tons, worth nearly 205 million USD, down 21% in volume but up 36% in value.

However, data from the International Trade Center (ITC) shows that Vietnam's coffee market share in Australia decreased from 17% (2024) to 10% in the first two months of 2025, due to an 85% increase in import prices from Vietnam.

The increase in Vietnamese coffee prices is a source of pride, affirming the quality of Vietnamese coffee beans, but also a challenge in maintaining market share.

Therefore, promoting the export of finished coffee products will help Vietnam maintain its market share as well as build a more sustainable Vietnamese coffee brand in foreign markets.
