Update world coffee prices
At the close of trading on October 22, the price of the online Robusta coffee contract for November 2025 delivery on the London Stock Exchange increased by 0.34% (16 USD/ton) compared to the previous trading session, to 4755 USD/ton. The contract for January 2026 delivery increased by 0.49% (23 USD/ton), reaching 4717 USD/ton.

Similarly, on the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee futures for December 2025 delivery continued to increase by 1.83% (7.7 US cents/lb) compared to the previous session, reaching 428.55 US cents/lb. The contract for March 2026 delivery increased by 1.77% (7.05 US cents/lb), reaching 405.8 US cents/lb.

Robusta coffee prices continued to be supported by crop concerns in Vietnam, the world’s largest robusta producer. Heavy rains from Typhoon Fengshen could cause flash floods, landslides and damage coffee plantations in the Central Highlands, the country’s key coffee-producing region, according to the meteorological agency.
Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Environment forecasts that coffee output in the 2025–2026 crop year will rebound strongly, increasing by about 10% compared to the previous crop year, reaching 31 million bags. Favorable seasonal rainfall in the Central Highlands is helping coffee trees grow better after three consecutive years of declining output.
The new harvest has now begun, and the amount of coffee transferred to export warehouses is expected to increase rapidly in the coming weeks as the dry weather returns. Exporters expect a stable supply to help the market maintain its growth momentum and meet the strong demand from import partners.
For 2025, the Ministry of Agriculture expects Vietnam to export about 25 million bags of coffee, earning a record 8 billion USD, a sharp increase compared to 5.65 billion USD in 2024. The Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (VICOFA) also estimates the export value for the 2024-2025 crop year to reach 8.4 billion USD, equivalent to an increase of 60% compared to the previous year.
