On December 15th, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee announced that it had approved the investment plan for the Dak Doa golf course project in Dak Doa commune through a bidding process to select an investor. The project will have 36 holes and a total estimated investment of over 1,150 billion VND.

According to the decision, the project will be implemented on an area of over 171 hectares, with construction expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026 and be completed and put into operation in the third quarter of 2029. The project's operating period is 50 years.
The project aims to create an international standard golf course complex, combining sports, entertainment, and tourism services, thereby contributing to attracting investment and promoting local socio -economic development.
The Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee assessed that the project will create momentum to attract investment projects for the construction, expansion, and upgrading of technical infrastructure in the western part of the province; contributing to the completion of the spatial development orientation of architectural landscape, while also creating jobs for local workers.
Notably, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee requires investors, upon registering to implement a project, to commit to paying the full value of assets attached to the land, specifically pine forests, and other costs that the winning bidder previously paid into the state budget. These include compensation for damages when changing the land use purpose of the forest, investment costs for reforestation and replacement planting, and the value of land use rights as determined by the competent authority.
The Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee emphasized that these amounts are independent of the investor's obligation to pay land use fees, land lease fees, and other financial obligations to the state budget.
During the implementation process, investors must fully comply with all legal regulations regarding investment, construction, land, forestry, and environment, and ensure sufficient capital is secured according to the committed schedule.
