Domestic pepper prices updated on the morning of May 7, 2025 |
Experts say the pepper market is currently being affected by factors such as limited supply and stable demand from major markets. Therefore, if there are no unexpected factors from the international market, prices will continue to remain high in the short term.
Currently, major export markets such as the US, China and Europe still maintain stable demand for Vietnamese pepper. Along with the increasing trend of pepper prices in other producing countries such as Indonesia, this will create momentum to further support domestic pepper prices.
The global pepper market will continue to face upward price pressure in 2025, amid a forecast of a fourth consecutive year of decline in output.

All major pepper producing countries such as Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka and Brazil have recorded a decrease in production due to climate impacts, labor shortages and the trend of switching to more profitable crops.
