Construction value of all types of houses increased dramatically

A bright spot in the socio -economic picture of Da Nang city in 2024 is that many large-scale real estate projects have been licensed for construction, started and implemented, contributing to the impressive growth of the added production value (VA) of the construction industry by 11.28% compared to 2023, in which the added production value for the construction of all types of houses increased dramatically by 19.51%, contributing mainly to the growth of the entire construction industry.

The Han River tourist service area (Sun Cosmo Residence) on the east side of Tran Thi Ly bridge (Ngu Hanh Son and Son Tra districts) is a real estate project and serves tourists for sightseeing and relaxation with a large investment scale. This project has a fast construction progress, the average investment capital is about 50 billion VND/month. After 1 year of construction, recently, the investor and the project contractor held a topping-out ceremony for two buildings B4.1 (3 basements, 33 floors above ground) and B4.2 (3 basements, 28 floors above ground) in the high-rise subdivision The Panoma.

Mr. Nguyen Chi Thien, representative of the project contractor, shared that the team of engineers and thousands of workers have worked hard to complete the basement and the body of the two buildings B4.1 and B4.2. These two buildings will be completed on schedule, put into operation soon and in the future, this will be one of the development symbols of Da Nang city. In addition, some large-scale real estate projects such as: Sun Symphony Residence, Da Nang Landmark Tower, low-rise housing component project of Tuyen Son Housing and Service Area project... and many other projects are also being constructed at a fast pace.

The city has made efforts to promote public investment projects, actively disburse and remove bottlenecks in the investment sector, thereby supporting housing construction projects and civil engineering works to accelerate progress and increase implementation value. The total production value of the construction industry in 2024 at current prices reached VND 25,611 billion, the added value (VA) of the entire construction industry in 2024 grew quite impressively with an increase of 11.28% compared to 2023, contributing 0.61 percentage points to the overall added value (VA) growth of the entire economy. In particular, the production value in the field of housing construction of all kinds increased dramatically at 19.51%, contributing mainly to the growth of the entire construction industry.

Director of the Department of Construction Phung Phu Phong said that to achieve the above impressive results, the city has directed specialized agencies to actively review and proactively coordinate with ministries, branches, and central agencies to recommend and propose solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles for major projects in the area.

The work of establishing zoning plans has made many breakthroughs with the City People's Committee completing the approval of the entire planning of 9 urban zones and a number of zones for the construction of key, dynamic functional areas, which is an important basis for removing all obstacles for investment projects, creating favorable conditions for investment projects to complete legal procedures and implement construction in the past time. At the same time, it is the basis for implementing investment in new projects, contributing to promoting the disbursement of public investment capital, unlocking investment resources, and promoting economic growth.

In particular, in 2024, the Politburo issued Conclusion No. 77-KL/TW on the project "Plan to remove difficulties and obstacles related to projects and land in the conclusions of inspections, examinations, and judgments in a number of provinces and cities". Then, at the 8th session, the National Assembly (15th tenure) passed a Resolution on specific mechanisms and policies to remove difficulties and obstacles related to projects and land in the conclusions of inspections, examinations, and judgments in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang City, and Khanh Hoa Province...

This is also the result of the relentless efforts of the entire city's political system and the attention and support of the Central Government to create conditions for the city to have an important political and legal basis to remove difficulties and obstacles, overcome bottlenecks; unleash resources and create a breakthrough in socio-economic development in the coming time.

“In 2025 and the following years, the construction industry will continue to strive to carry out key political tasks; coordinate support and remove difficulties and obstacles for projects and land, and develop planning, planning management, and construction work in both breadth and depth, in order to create a favorable and transparent investment and business environment, contributing to promoting the strong socio-economic development of Da Nang city,” Mr. Phong emphasized.
