Đêm qua, giá vàng thế giới có lúc tăng 116 USD/ounce
Last night, the world gold price increased by 116 USD/ounce.

At around 6:00 a.m. on April 10 (Vietnam time), the spot gold price on the world market was at 3,084 USD/ounce, up more than 116 USD compared to the lowest level last night of 2,968 USD/ounce.

This development occurred despite US President Donald Trump's surprise announcement of increased tariffs on Chinese goods and a 90-day moratorium on new tariffs on imported goods from many other countries.

Escalating trade tensions have investors worried that China and Japan could dump US bonds, causing bond values to plummet and increasing volatility in the bond market. In response to these concerns, demand for precious metals has surged, pushing up gold prices.

Meanwhile, policymakers at the US Federal Reserve (FED) expressed concern that President Donald Trump's trade policies could negatively affect economic growth. However, the FED still signaled that it would not rush to cut interest rates to support the economy.

In that context, many investors have poured money into gold to seek a safe haven. In particular, information that China has increased its purchase of precious metals to cope with the impact of US tariffs has further fueled the rise in gold prices.

In the Vietnamese market, at the end of April 9, SJC gold was sold at 101.9 million VND/tael, while ring gold was sold at 101.7 million VND/tael.
